I lowered the light a bit, I didn't exactly measure but about 25cm above the soil, so hopefully it will stop the stretching and won't cause any damage to the little ones. Today at the end of the 1st week, I watered them for the first time since they broke above soil, with dechlorinated tap water, soil pH is 6.9 but cannot say for water tho. I know it might seems like I was a little late for watering, but I just decided to listen to what they have to say, since soil wasn't dry enough to feel the need to water them until yesterday, so I've let tap water dechlorinate over night and most of the next day and now they've had their first drink, and yet many to come I hope. Also I noticed that leaves appear to be kinda pale green, especially GG#4, as well I noticed that they aren't stretching anymore but slowly starting to produce next set of leaves. Now I don't know if pale leaves are from nutrient deficiency, which I deeply doubt because they're still very young plus they already carry everything they need, nutrient speaking, for up to the first two weeks of their life, and soil has nutrients in it as well. Or could it be from receiving too much light, since I lowered it to the level you can see in the last picture of the week, so maybe it is too low now, Or maybe I'm just tripping, and I apologize for the long text, I am just too high and so are my dilemas and doubts. Hear ya in the next week.
I had some trouble adjusting the grow light distance, but I think I got it now. They seem a bit slow, but it probably seems that way because I watch them daily. It's beginning of week 3, I'm just afraid of auto going into flowering soon and ending up with a dwarf, but hopefully it won't, other diaries of the same breeder and strain went into flowering mostly around week 5. I haven't started feeding her any nutrients yet, when soil dries out from the latest watering I'll give them 1/8 of prescribed liquid synthetic nutrients. Hear ya'll some time later.
I am aware and I see that they are behind schedule,
but this is the best I can provide for them at the time.
Black Orchid is staying short and leafy, while GG#4 is
more stem than leaf to me, hopefully she'll stop growing
tall now and focus her energy in growing leaves and branching.
Also they've been feed 1/8 of liquid fertilizer, synthetic, once.
Next time it'll be 1/4 but I won't go more than that for Black Orchid, GG#4 after that is going to get regular dosage prescribed. I hope they'll fatten main stems a little bit.
I fimmed GG#4 29.10 hopefully she'll go wide. Also I noticed that side branches are getting less light because of the big leaves, so I improvised some shit with aluminium foil and placed them to reflect to the side branches, if it even does any good. I see that most likely I'll have to defoliate them, probably in the 5th week.
First week of flowering. Black Orchid Auto is showing pistiles, but I haven't noticed any on GG#4 yet. I'm had some light leaks that I'm aware of, but hopefully it won't cause GG#4 to stay in veg or stress it enough to herm. We'll see in another week.
