Germination

Drebor Received repacked seeds from Attitude Seedbank. Put them on a glass of room temperature water for 12h, then on soil, they started to emerge after 3 days, the slowest one took 5 days. I'm very impressed with the high germination rate alongside with the twin seed phenomenon. 6 individual plants from 5 seeds, never could expect 120% germination rate lol.

Dreborstarted grow question 7mo ago
I got two individual plants popped from a single Green House Seeds's Super Lemon Haze. I plan to keep both twins to see how they will grow and futurally taste. Is it risky? Can they get stunted for being so close to other plant?

None. This platform has a winner with double sprout. I had few myself too. Some say get rid of weaker one, but you have to grow it yourself. Drebor They look stressed. My guess is that something is off with the germination medium. I used a mix of 1/3 perlite, 1/3 turf and 1/3 worm castings with 100g of mycorrhizae added in 5L of soil. My plan is to transplant them to a no-till bed next week and wait to see if they recover.

Drebor This week gnat warfare was declared. Had to spread a layer of diatomaceous earth and cover it with perlite on the top of the pots to prevent gnats from conquering all my grow space. Watering on bare minimum to help reduce gnats proliferation. The plants look stressed, i found a bunch of larvae on the roots of the cover crop, but they don't stop growing.

Drebor The gnats are pretty much gone, I’ll keep the DE cover on top for two more weeks to be safe. The plants recovered well from topping and had their main stems tied dow.

Drebor That was the last 18h light feed week, closing the 6 week vegetation cycle and filling the 120L no till bed in green. This marks the end of the vegetation period. I'll start the 12h light cycle today. A second 240W quantum board was placed above the canopy and they are receiving 600ppfd with 480w of lights with 60cm of distance.

Drebor First week of 12h light schedule, they are stretching fast and drinking way more water than the week before. No pistils have been seen yet. The gnats problem seems to be solved.

Drebor They are still stretching, and the buds grew noticeably faster this week. The soil is drying rapidly, they are drinking 5 to 7 liters of water every 2 or 3 days. Did some minor exfoliation removing some fan leaves that were growing inwards the canopy middle. The green area is measuring 75x75cm (ish) and the bigger plant is 55cm in height.

Drebor The buds are growing faster than last week, and the plants aren't stretching anymore. I was expecting a bigger flower stretch with this strain but perhaps the little spacement on the pot capped their size. They are drinking a lot more water, the pot usually dry in two days and I pour 7.5 to 10 liters each watering. The lower section of the plants was defoliated in this week too.

Drebor 49 days flowering and they are still gaining weight, one of the plants started bending and I had to improvise a pole to sustain it. They are drinking the same 10L of water every two or three days as the other flowering weeks. I plan to keep a closer look at the trichomes from now on to see when the harvest day is close, I think they have two more weeks of flowering.

Great strain! they look overwatered and that doesn't help with the gnats. I was suffering from them too and after using IPW from Athena it's no longer a problem. How is your drybacks?
Drebor
Dreborcommented6mo ago
@NAS_Garden, that was indeed what caused the gnat infestation. In the first veg weeks I was watering too much and too frequent, now i'm pouring 500ml under each plant once a week, on that 120L no-till bed. I'm planning on watering the whole bed with Bacillus Thuringiensis Israelensis to finish the larvae for good.
