This is my first indoor grow. I’m having an issue with one of the seeds . It popped and everything and raised out of the soil, but stopped growing with the rest. I may have drowned it. These are regular seeds from The Humboldt Seed company.
Good week besides the lose of one of the seeds. Have had no problem with them. Recently transferred them in to larger containers and experience no shock , that I could see at least. Tap roots are coming in strong , and growing quick. Still not using nutrients , just PH’d distilled water , and letting the soil do the job for now. The light was started at half power and switched to full power today.
The sex of the plate haven’t come out yet . Minor issue with nutrient burn which was taken care of right away. Girl Scout cookies seem to do better with less added nutrients l, which makes taking care of them easy. I just have to really watch how much nutes I am giving them. I am currently using half the recomended amount Fox Farms suggests.
I recently went out of town for 4 days. The person that said they’d keep an eye on it completely dropped the ball. The girls took a really hard hit and it took a few days for them to recover. It’s been tricky with the tie day as they are now in 5 gallon fabric pots. I may have to figure something out. Of the 5 plants , only one turned out to be a male which is great since my goal was to have 4 flowering plants.
The plants filled out very nicely, considering the fact that they were neglected while I was out of town, which I believe ultimately ended up stunting their growth. I’m happy with the size so I decided to flush the plants and start the 12/12 light schedule. I used the bush doctor sledgehammer by fox farms to flush, and I will say that it seemed to helped. I learned from this grow that girls out cookies react very poorly to regular feeding , so you should stick with a portion of the recommended feeding amount with this strain. Although it was easy to get nite burn with these girls , it was just as easy to bring them back to life .
Welcome, Congrats on starting your first indoor grow.. only thing i would say for the little one struggling, let it dry out some and just see what she does. Good Luck!
@SChomegrown, thank you . Yeah also , I think I may have dropped in in the soil too soon. I got to eager to pop all of them in the soil, some popped quicker than others. Lesson learned for sure.
