First Time Snow White Strain

ohnoitwasntme All 4 seeds popped. Everyone came out of the ground happy and healthy except one. Finally dug it up today and root looked tangled. Tilled the dirt a bit so that should help. Started another snow white germinating tonight in case that one doesn't make it. Shouldn't be too far behind if we need it. Week 1 of nutes here we go!

ohnoitwasntme Ladies are looking healthy and good. Nirvana kind of implied they were testy so I was anticipating some ph reaction or something but so far, all green and beautiful. Transplanted today. Root balls nice and healthy. Waited a bit longer than I usually do but wanted roots to be strong and didn't want them to outgrow the 3 gallon pot before veg was over. Was originally going with six weeks veg, but going to see if I can get there flipped to 12/12 at end of week 5 ish. Very excited about new cmh lights. First top and mainline training probably on Sunday 2/3. Second top @ 2/10. Train. Lollipop around 2/13. Flip lights the night of the 14th. We'll see!

ohnoitwasntme Plants are looking good, everyone responding well to the mainlining. New lights were bit disppointed. Good future note that 2 315w cmh lights are just a bit too hot for a 4x4 tent Going back tomorrow to switch out 1 315w cmh for some LED bulbs compatible with a fluorescent fixture....didn't realize they made those. Will drop the 315 in the middle and supplement on the sides with the LEDs. Will post pics of the new set up when it's complete. All in all, gonna get about 10k+ more lux to the canopy, and all four plants will get near equal amount of light as opposed to 30kish directly under the bulb and only about 15 max to the plants outside of the direct light of the bulb. Very excited to have a an even canopy and increase yield from the plants by a few oz. Hoping for between 14-16 oz with these four plants. Debating whether to go the full six weeks to veg (two more weeks)...might do a week and a half or something to get the plants used to the big lights, font want to shock them as they go into flower Stuck to the first top schedule and topped last sunday 2/2, Thought a week might be enough to get three nodes, but were only at about second one tonight I doubt we'll have three by Sunday. Plants will probably go under 3k light this Sunday night to encourage some more growth. Revising schedule to do second top on 2/12 and a defoliation on Friday 2/15. Target date to flip lights: 2/20

ohnoitwasntme Lots to talk about Picked up a two new 315cmh's. Was all excited. As it turned out, there is no good way to ventilate/cool two growers choice 315 cmh's in a 4x4 tent. It's just the worst size tent ever. Tried everything including opening the window (I live in alaska) in winter and it was a no go. Considered putting some T5 LEDs in but too much work to orient the lights and no create more shadows. Ultimately, in light of going with just one 315 cmh which has a 3x3 footprint, have decided to go with scrog method for my first time. Small challenge in reorienting from manifold training to scrog but as of tonight things seem well. Plants have been under cmh since sunday. been a challenge figuring out the exact right height. Critical point: Snow White strain doesn't love to be trained. Stems grow slowly, thickly, and hard. Becomes difficult to manipulate them quickly. Trained them to get them rdy for scrog instead of manifold and snapped one stem (front right plant).Taped it up and it seems ok. Will put scrog net down on Monday/Tuesday. First day of 12/12 Wednesday.
