Nachtjasmin Planted three days ago. Hatched today :) 18/6 light cycle 14l Living Soil 240 Watt LED FastBuds: Just a hype or do the outstanding results hold up? I'm really excited to find out :) If anyone has advice, tips, and tricks, feel free to share :D This is only my second grow and I have very little experience. I'm grateful for any point where I can improve!

Nachtjasmin After it stretched a bit at the beginning, I piled some soil around the stem. I did spray the soil with water repeatedly, but still, the first 1-2cm of the soil mound around the stem was dry today. That's why I poured 100ml around the stem. The leaf tips are still drooping and seem a bit discolored. PPFD 540 DLI 39 25.10. Thanks to the help from a few nice growers, I now have slightly drooping leaves and necrosis on the first leaf pair. The reason for this was probably that I initially watered the Living Soil with 3 liters of water before placing the Jiffy to "activate" the soil life. When it then stretched after a few days, I formed a small mound of soil around the stem, which dried out quite quickly, and I watered it again with 100ml of water.

At this stage of the plants life they do not require much water. The size of that container I would guess you should only need to water once a week. It’s looking like the signs of over watering. The droop and color of the leaf is a distinct sign. Let the soil dry out for a few days and then put your finger down as far as you can and if it’s dry, then water. If it’s still wet, let it go longer. Hope this helps.

Nachtjasmin I tried LST for the first time. I think I'm still a bit rough at it. I'm always open and grateful for constructive comments, criticism, and suggestions for improvement :)

November 3: At the beginning of the dark phase, I applied a mix of 200ml water with 2ml neem oil, a splash of rapeseed oil, and 4ml potassium soap to the plant. The reason for this is an infestation of whiteflies. I didn't apply everything. Today I see black spots. Is that mold?

I'm in agreement with the others that something in the mix has damaged parts of the leaves. I wouldn't spray anymore of that stuff and only use the neem oil or potassium soap. The damaged leaf tissue won't recover but there is plenty of unaffected parts of the leaf for the plant to do its thing.

Nachtjasmin (TNC MycorMax seems to create a nitrogen surplus. I also added half a teaspoon under the seeds for three plants in the summer, and they all had massive problems with nitrogen excess. Same here with the Banana Purple Punch. For the Gelato, I decided to skip the stuff as a test, and it’s not curling its leaves.) For size comparison, pictures with a lighter. Both FastBuds plants so far are pretty disappointing. The shoots are at most (!) twice the length of my thumbnail and already stiff with the first signs of pre-flowering. Just compare that to the Sunshine LSD Auto, which I grew in 20l in the summer and did pretty much everything wrong. That thing was a monster. Even someone who has been dealing with photoperiods for many years and advised me against autoflowers was very, very positively surprised by what that plant delivered under the most adverse conditions. The buds were so heavy that I had to support everything to keep it from toppling over. Just the main cola was over 30cm. The effect was also on point. Incredible plant. And what do we have here? What is this going to be? A dwarf wonderland? I’m pretty disappointed, but maybe a miracle will still happen. I now understand why autoflowers are discouraged indoors due to electricity costs/waste. This would be something for my balcony box in the summer but not for a 14l pot under 240 watts. After the cheap but fantastic Sunshine LSD Auto from 66seeds, I really expected more from breeders who specialize in autoflowers. If the yield turns out to be as tiny as what I have here in the pots, that’s it for FastBuds. I still have a Blackberry Auto and a mix pack with five seeds. But it’s not worth the expensive electricity prices just for that. I can go admire a miniature wonderland elsewhere. If anyone has a tip on where to find similar auto strains like the Sunshine LSD, please share ;) It’s good, but always just skunk flavor gets boring over time. Another business idea for FastBuds: How about selling micro-tools for LST? I can’t attach a 2.5mm wire to that.

Nachtjasmin I removed some leaves that I couldn't get out of the way and that were shading the future buds. Also, dead leaf material. 11/22. The first trichomes are visible, and underneath it seems to be quite purple *yay*
