First Grow - RQS Cosmos F1

2024/10/21 - Seed popped out of the soil, looks healthy. Watered soil with around 100ml of plain water. 2024/10/22 - No watering today, soil is still moist as expected. Initial leaves are larger than yesterday. 2024/10/23 - Watered soil with 100ml of plain water. Initial leaves continue to grow. Cat is very curious. 2024/10/24 - No watering today. Second set of leaves are starting to emerge. 2024/10/25 - Watered soil with 100ml of plain water. Second set of leaves is visibly larger. 2024/10/26 - No watering today. Second set of leaves are visibly larger. 2024/10/27 - Watered soil with 150ml of plain water. Seedling made it through its first week! Second set of leaves has developed quite nicely and the first node seems to be starting to form.

2024/10/28 - No watering today, increased light intensity from 25% to 50%. Looks like several leaves are starting to emerge! Seedling looks a little bit dry, need to research if it is normal. 2024/10/29 - Watered with 200ml of plain water. Initial leaves are showing a small yellowish discoloration, not sure if this is due to genetics or light burn. 2024/10/30 - No watering today. Yellow discoloration is now more noticeable. Grow question answers mentioned that this is either normal, or it is a Cal/Mag deficiency. Will start providing nutes and CalMag tomorrow as she seems strong enough already (2/4 leaves). 2024/10/31 - Watered 300 ml with 0.5/L BioGrow and 0.3/L CalMag. Probably the blemishes were caused by a Calcium deficit, since the spring water label mentions only 1.5 mg/L. 2024/11/01 - No watering, she seems very happy with nutes! 2024/11/02 - Watered 350 ml with same nutes volume. She's growing and growing! ❤️ 2024/11/03 - No watering, five finger leaves are sprouting and main stalk is starting to enlarge. Will attempt LST by next week!

2024/11/04 - Increased water to 500 ml, Bio-Grow to 1 ml/L and CalMag to 0.5 ml/L. Increased light intensity to 75% as well. Will continue monitoring if she is handling the nutrient increase as expected. 2024/11/05 - Well, it seems she has taken the Bio-Grow quite well, size appears to have doubled! No watering today, performed LST and some tucking on fan leaves. 2024/11/06 - Watered with 600 ml of same nutes quantity. Performed some more tucking and tried to lower main stem. 2024/11/07 - No watering today, applied LST on lower branches and defoliated a single leave. Several leaves are touching the soil now, I have no ideia if I am doing LST properly. 2014/11/08 - Increased watering to 800 ml, same nutes quantity. Broke a stem while trying to continue LST, Oops. Had a friend come over and help me evaluate the LST. 2024/11/09 - Nothing much to add TODAY, continuing LST on lower branches. Despite the broken branch, she seems to be happy and drinking water faster than expected. 2024/11/10 - Increased water to 1 Liter. Not happy with LST, plant is really short. Removed branch that was broke two days ago.

2014/11/11 - No watering today, no LST either. Pistils have appeared between the branches, at least she is not an hermaphrodite. 2024/11/12 - Increased water from 1 L to 1.5 L to simplify nutrient dosage. She seems healthy all in all. 2024/11/13 - Not much to update, no watering and no LST. Pre-flower stage is going as expected. 2024/11/14 - Watered again with 1.5 L. I just noticed she just has 25 days, I am wondering if she stressed somehow in order to be flowering so soon. We'll see. 2024/11/15 - No watering and no LST either. No substantial updates. 2024/11/16 - Increased water to 2 L, added 0.5 ml/L of Bio-Bloom and Top-Max given the pre-flower stage. Increased light intensity to 100%. Hyped! 2024/11/17 - No watering, everyday I need to raise lights a little bit, stretching phase is very interesting.

2024/11/18 - Day 1 of flowering week! Increased Bio-Bloom and Top-Max quantity to 1 ml/L. Installed carbon filter even though there is no hard smell, we are trying keep it low out here! 2024/11/19 - No substantial updates, she is streching quite a lot every day! 2024/11/20 - Continuing water and nutes quantity over 2 Liters. Some leaves are yellowing on the tips, need to investigate why. 2024/11/21 - There are some leaves with brown spots. Need to ask the community what could be the issue. 2024/11/22 - Watered with same nutes quantity, but increased CalMag to 0.75 ml/L given the recent brown spots, as it might be a potential calcium deficiency. Decreased PH to 6.5 (up until now was averaging 6.8) to ensure there are no PH issues. 2024/11/23 - No substantial updates once again, community said that brown spots are likely to be caused by calcium deficiency, and she has nitrogen def as well. By Tuesday I will increase Bio-Bloom, hoping that helps. 2024/11/23 - Watered still with same schedule. Buds are starting to bulk up!

2024/11/25 - No watering today. I bought a PAR meter, light was too harsh on the canopy! Adjusted light to 700 PPFD and 45 DLI. 2014/11/26 - Watered with 2 Liters and increased Bio-Bloom to 2 ml/L. Yesterday while trying to determine PPFD levels, I read a new paper regarding cannabis and light intensity, which states that yield is proportional to the amount of light, so I increased the light intensity back to 100%. Today at the end of the day I noticed that the canopy leaves were praying, so I regretted increasing the lights. Set the same back to 700 PPFD. 2024/11/27 - No significant updates. 2024/11/28 - Watered with same water and nutes quantity. She looks way happier with the lower light intensity. 2024/11/29 - No significant updates, happy plant! 2024/11/30 - Same water, same nutes! No updates, buds keep bulking! 2024/12/01 - No significant updates, happy plant!

2024/12/02 - Watered soil with same quantity, increased Top-Max to 2 ml/L. Buds have some color now and are really bulking up! 2024/12/03 - No updates, just a happy plant! 2024/12/04 - Same water, same nutes. Rest in peace grandpa... 2024/12/05 - No updates. 2024/12/06 - Watering day. Humidity was reaching almost 70% due to excessive foliage, hence I turned on the dehumidifier in the lung room to avoid any mold problems. 2024/12/07 - No updates, fat main cola! 2024/12/08 - Watering day, everyday I get more impressed with the buds size, I am not sure if I was expecting such large buds. Light is running on 115 Watts only.

2024/12/09 - No updates. Maybe two more weeks until trichomes are brown enough and will proceed with harvest and drying. 2024/12/10 - Watering day. I swear each cola is getting larger and larger. I got kudos from some experienced growers here and it made me very happy! Thank you for the appreciation everyone! ❤️ 2024/11/12 - I believe trichomes are starting to get milky now, harvest is getting close! 2024/12/12 - Watering day, removed some dead leaves that were hiding on the bottom. I chose not to defoliate on my first grow, but I will definitely do it during the next one. 2024/12/13 - No updates. 2024/12/14 - Watering day, all buds below the canopy are getting ridiculously large. Maybe this strain is setting my expectations way too high! 2024/12/15 - No updates!

2024/12/16 - Watering day. Trichomes are still a bit glassy. Today I noticed a few brown shinny spots on the lower leaves, not sure what is the problem but will keep monitoring that. 2024/12/17 - No watering today. Everyday is jeweller's loupe day! No significant ambar on trichomes yet. 🔎 2024/12/18 - Watering day, few amber trichomes have appeared on the main cola, however pistils are still finishing curling up overall. 2024/12/19 - No updates, pistils are still curling and trichomes are yet to get ambar. 2024/12/20 - Watering day. I saw some browning today and I don't want to feed her on Xmas day. I might need to chop her in two days. 2024/12/21 - No updates, minor amber trichomes have appeared on top and bottom buds. Might chop her tomorrow or next day. 2024/12/22 - Watering day. Couldn't harvest today due to personal affairs, targeting December 24 for harvest.

10 weeks after planting the seed, I have successfully grown my first cannabis plant. Whenever I open the tent, a lovely smell fills the entire lung room. Now I understand how SCROG is important, there was a lot of fluff inside of her that never saw any light. I think I was lucky that she didn't catch any mold. Patiently waiting for the drying phase, so I can weight and share with you the final yield.
