Hello growers!!!
We are back again with the Medusa F1!
Since the last time we had so much fun with them, I wanted to repeat the experience and see if I can either to better or … maybe learn something new.
4 on 4 have opened in water but 2 days after I had to plant a new one because the sprout died… sigh
One has been replaced the 2nd day , the little was dead.
So the new one came out …with 3 set of leaves.
So we have a mutation. Hopefully will give 1/3 more of buds as more branches / more buds ? Will see…
For the others , 2 of them are in a 25 l net pot, one is in a 12 l aero pot and the 3 leaves one is in a 12 l net pot.
I’ ve managed the temperature, because my grow is outside the house, so the big challenge is to get the right humidity and the right hot/cold cycle.
For now, during the lights we have a constant temp of 22.5 Celsius
During the 4 hours of night we have 18/19 Celsius.
I have to push up a bit the temperature in veg phase so I have bought a heater tube .
Will see what it gives…
Thank you
All goes well,
They are speeding up and the temperature is doing its job.
They are liking the climate and also the little one on the back left has started to grow as it should.
What a wonderful strain.
Grazie 😇
As the growbox is outside is really challenging myself.
Outside the temperature is around 16 during day time and 10 in the night.
I’ve bought a heating tube, will see…
The main challenge is extracting the old air and get the new one (cold) without shocking the plants too much, but let the temperature stable…
Compared to the same strain some month ago we are 1 week late.
No big deal, I will use it as a test and as a challenge to better understand how to manage it.
Love to you all
Finally the heating tube arrived and I’m surprised, it works well!
During light on: 23.5 C with mars hydro extractor ( 4 inches) with 24 C trigger. Not more than that because it does not reach the 25 without extraction, so it would not trigger it.
Settings: when reaching 24C, extraction ON
Also added the “stand” option so the extraction adjust itself to keep the same temperature before the trigger.
Heating tube 24/24
No isolation more than the grow itself.
Plants are recovering and leaves have a better color.
Can still see the damage on older leaves and some newer sets have some yellow color at border, but growth is going fast.
Let’s hope in the stretch phase to gain in mass.
Love to
Stretch has begun and plants are recovering fast.
Buds are forming and plants are looking better.
I’ve switched to 24 h light per day, as we are getting into winter season, weather is challenging a lot.
Growbox still outside and the humidity is really a pain in the ass.
Granting a nice and continuous air extraction is helping me, but humidity is already in the new air so…not easy.
The heating tube is working really well and consume just 80 w of power so, in total I have 450 w for the whole system.
I have added since one week the bud factor x and it’s amazing, it definitely worth the price.
Will see what’s coming next.
Love to
Hello growers!
So my plants are recovering, it’s cold outside, temperature during the night is around 6-7 C…I can manage to stay between 21 and 23 C and is fair enough.
I’ve elevated them using a wood pallet, because the ground was getting freezing and roots were not absorbing well the nutrients.
Touching the bottom of the net pot I was like…what the hell is happening here?
So far so good, I ‘ve maybe found the right solution :)
3 more weeks to go to finish well, if I will get to the end?
I hope so, and maybe with this cold we will see nice colors appear..?
I will post more pictures, one per week is not enough to understand what is going on, but I do not enough time to manage everything sorryyyyy.
Love to you all fellas!
Hello growers!
Babies are recovering and buds are getting bigger and are consolidating.
Side branches are not long as previous Medusa F1, but progress are there and I’m so happy that I’ve managed so far the cold outside.
Smell is getting stronger and stronger, I love this fruity/earthy fragrance.
I’m using AN overdrive, will see if any difference with buds.
External temperature:
Day: 12 C
Night: 5 C
Internal temperature:
24 h light
22.3 C
Will update soon growers!
Made with love
Hello growers!
So we entered in our last week finally.
So hard to grow outside during cold winter, the grow tent is really humid, and cannot extract too much air because of the cold outside.
But my ladies are resistant and will get to the end.
I’ve started using Overdrive from AN and it’s really working well!
Two babies are ok, will produce quite a lot and two others are little bit far behind, will let them few more days in case .
19-11 update: chopped 50% of two plants, all tricomes are milky. Last time I got her when tricomes were most amber.
I want to try how it will feel like this way.
Love to you all !
Will update soon
Hello folks!
So as you can see, I’ve chopped 1 more, leaving one plant to finish her cycle.
The two that have been chopped 4 days before, are developing lower and smaller buds.
I’ve never tried to harvest in two times a fast auto and as far as I can see, this is working with those babies.
My small fear was that buds would stay small and with red hair, but they are getting fatter, so… will see!
What I’m giving them to finish is half of AN flawless finish and half of micro+grow+bloom and in few days I will just go for the FF and then 2 days of no water.
The one left to finish will be chopped at the same time as three others.
For now the taken actions are:
- half plant #1 harvested, half plant #2 harvested. Total wet: 346 g.
- 3 days after, half plant #3 harvested. Total wet: 223 g.
Flowers have been already trimmed, I usually let small and super sticky leaves, trimming all around the bud, leaving all tips and rest of leaf.
Buds are so sticky, I think the reason could be the cold they get from the outside air coming into the tent.
Medusa F1 is super mold resistant, as it grows super fast, it does not permit to mold to install on it and has super dense buds, sticky and deliciously smelling when caressed; scents of banana and exotic fruit can be smelled, leaving a more persistent earthy fragrance mixed with spice aroma. All those terpenes are enveloped into a sugar atmosphere. I love it, did I already told you?
If not…
Well I love it!!!
Will update for last chop!
Peace and love to you all
