Thc-victory first grow

After a slow start, things are finally picking up! I’m using the SF1000 without a dimmer, so I had to keep it about 1m away from the plants during the first few weeks to avoid light stress. Now I’ve adjusted it a bit closer, and I'm feeding them once a week with nutrients and giving pH-balanced water mid-week. This will be the last veg week, I'm thinking to reduce the humidity to 50%, I'm no expert but the leaves seems to be too wet if that make sense, there is no water but the looking 😅

This week, the plant started showing signs of overwatering—its leaves looked a bit sad and droopy. After some troubleshooting, I realized the issue was with the air extraction. I had bought a 100mm air extractor that wasn’t very powerful, so once I attached the carbon filter, the airflow wasn’t strong enough. For now, I’ve removed the filter, but I’ll need to invest in a stronger extractor or an additional fan. Other than that, the plant is thriving. I did some defoliation to improve light access for the developing buds. Today, I’m flipping it into the flowering phase. Overall, the all-mix soil from BioBizz has proven to be a solid choice for this first grow!

First week of flowering went well, by the last day before feeding the plants I noticed the bigger one was already asking for food. I down the lights a little bit and it seems to be not causing light stress. Now I need to adapt to the new water needs it feels that each 2 days I will need to give them water.

This week started with a heavy defoliation session. I also removed some of the lower buds since they weren’t getting enough light. In hindsight, I think I could have done a better job keeping the plant canopy more even. The height differences make it a bit challenging to ensure optimal light distribution. That said, the plants are looking great overall! I did notice something interesting, the green coloration of the two plants is slightly different, even though they’re the same strain and receive identical nutrients. It’s fascinating how subtle variations can still appear.

Did a heavy defoliation this week, even took off some small nodes. Right after, I thought I went a bit too far and should’ve been more careful, but I’m happy to see the plant bounced back like a champ. She’s super thirsty now—needs water every two days. I can tell the stretch phase is wrapping up, and she’s shifting her focus to those flowers. The smell is still pretty weak, so nothing to comment on there just yet.

Surprise, surprise! My biggest plant decided to pull a plot twist and turned into a hermaphrodite. Honestly, I don’t think it was stress—it was looking super healthy. By the time I noticed, it was already too late; spores had popped and there was pollen dust on some leaves. Since I don’t have another space to separate it and I couldn’t bring myself to destroy it, I’m just rolling with it. Guess we’ll see how this goes—maybe I’ll end up with a mix of seeded buds and some clean ones too. Let’s see what happens.

Yesterday I gave what is probably the last nutrients to the plants. I'm planing a flush next week and then harvest depending on the trichomes evolution. I confess I didn't get over the hermafrodite thing. It’s very sad specially because I don't have any clue if it was something in my cultivation caused the change or just bad luck.

I'm keeping an eye in the trichomes and the first milky ones are showing up.

All of sudden the plants started to have a strong sweet smell. I this stage I see that around 20-25% of trichomes are cloudy. I would say in 2 weeks max I can harvest tho the second plant is a few days behind.

I did harvest 2 top branches as it was looking more mature with most of thricoms cloudy. Not ideal but it is what it is. The bottom part of the plant still need more time.
