10-April - Day 78 Preparing for harvest! Flushing week now! The buds do not grow anymore, the trychomes are in 60-70 % milky. No amber trychomes yet. Have already first time flushed the plant 2 days ago with pure water. Want to flush a 2nd time in 2-3 days. Than, after 2-3 days later i will harvest. So the harvest will happen next week at the latest. The buds are not so big, they are nearly small buds, but she is over and over full of sugar and she‘s smelling really strong now😁. ======================= Update 13-Apr - Day 81 Did the 2nd Flush today - drain ph was 8, drain EC was 1 This was the last flush. Harvest will be in 4-5 days. Now i have changed the light schedule from 18/6 to 16/8. Will change again in 2 days to 13/11. Don‘t know if this will help for stressing the plant to produce more trichomes. If it doesn‘t help, therefore i have saved little bit of power 😀 Time schedule for next steps: 15-Apr: change light schedule to 14/10 18-Apr; switch off the light completely (8 a.m.) 19-Apr: Harvest at approx. 8 p.m, - so the plant was in the dark for approx. 36 hrs. 19-22 to 25 Apr: Drying Curing for 1 month minimum = finished end of may Curing 3 months for good quality = finished end of july Curing 6 months for best quality = finished end of october =============================== Update 14-April - Day 82 Checked trychomes again, approx. 70-80 % is milky now, the others are clear. Should be ready for harvesting. So i think my plan for harvesting in 3-4 days is hopefully the right plan. =============================== Update 15-April - Day 83 Trychome check: approx. 80% milky, found a few amber trychomes. 2-5 % is amber. Changed light schedule from 16/8 to 14/10. in 3 days i will switch off the light completely. =============================== Update 16-April - Day 84 Have dried an test-bud today with drying the bud in the sun - this is a very good way to dry a bud for testing: 👉https://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-quick-drying-technique👈 This drying method in the sun is really very efficiency - i have dried in the sun approx. 4 hours, and 5he bud is completely dry. It‘s nit so quick drying as with microwave, and the taste is good. =============================== Update 17-Apr - Day 85 LAST PREPARATIONS FOR THE HARVEST! 😀 Have made last photos of the living plant today - also photos from the trychomes. Tomorrow the light will be switched off completely at 8 a.m. and hte harvest will be at friday, 19-April - approx. 8 p.m. So the plant will be in darkness from tomorrow morning for 36 hours. Have checked again the trychomes, approx. 80 % are milky, rest is clear. Have found a few amber tryhomes, maximum 3-5 %. Of course, i could wait a few days more, but the leaves are mostly brown, and the plant shows, that she has reached her end. But I do more prefer the head high. 😀 Have tried an testbud yesterday, the head high was very great. Not too much, and not too less, it has the right potency for me. Nice turn. With the yield I‘m awaiting approx. 120-150 gramms wet weight - which should be 25-30 gramms dried weight. We will see. Will post the weight and the summary of the harvest in 3 days.
