Germination
First, I germinated 1x Acapulco Gold, 1x Glookies, 1x GMO, and 1x another strain listed as "Anonymous". The seeds were soaked in 1%-H2O2 solution for about 12h and then put into EzPlugs. In this diary I will keep one strain anonymous, because only 1 of 4 germinated and that one died off because it did not grow any substantial roots (did not even penetrate the EzPlug). While I am pretty sure my germination method is fine, because *all* seeds from Barney's Farm germinated successfully within a very short time, I do not want to name and shame the shop that I bought them from. After about 4 weeks of unsuccessfully attempting to get the 4th plant going, I had no more seeds of that strain left and decided to pick another one from my Barney's collection. Due to this, 1x Sour Strawberry will only join the others when they are already rather tall. Will she be able to catch up?

In this week, the Acapulco Gold, GMO, and Glookies successfully germinated and grew into little seedlings, while the first "anonymous" germination attempt failed.

In this week, one of the "anonymous" seeds germinated (2nd attempt) and started growing, so I felt confident, that the 4th plant was finally here and not too far behind.

Altough the "anonymous" seedling was still a bit behind, I decided to move the plants into the AutoPots. The pots were still disconnected from the tank and the plants were handwatered for the time being. 3 days later it was clear that "anonymous" had died. I was getting a bit frustrated since the fourth pot was now empty and the other 3 plants were growing happily. I started another germination attempt.

After two more failed attempts to germinate another "anonymous", I decided to germinate a Sour Strawberry, which popped and started growing. It was now about 4 weeks behind the other plants, which had me somewhat worried, because of the limited tent space, and the AutoPots, which I can not turn on for a while now. I also topped GMO and Glookies.

This week started out with some yellowing on the GMO, which had grown incredibly quickly and was much taller than the other 2. Acapulco Gold was the shortest of the 3, but had grown with very short internodial spacing. I wanted to move the Sour Strawberry over as soon as possible, but it grew a bit slowly, maybe I overwatered it a bit. In an attempt to counteract the yellowing on the GMO, I decided to try out the AutoPots. Was that a good idea at this point? I don't know, but I had to try them out eventually. After turning it on, the plants started degrading quickly. I don't know what exactly caused the issue, my best guess is it's a pH issue. But this is where it started going downhill for me, especially since I was still trying to get the 4th one going in the first place. I quickly turned off the AutoPots again and went back to hand watering, also while trying to find the issue, I left out much of the things I had added to the AutoPot tank.

Still trying to find the issue, I noticed that new growth mostly looked fine and the plants were growing quickly still after watering and leaf issues started popping up only after the soil had dried out quite a bit already. So was I underwatering? Was the EC in the soil rising after too much dryback? Still, the plants were quite light in color, but that did not seem like my biggest issue. I topped the GMO a few more times, because it had grown so tall. Finally I decided to put the Sour Strawberry seedling into the AutoPot as well.

Finally the Sour Strawberry started catching up! It seemed to have some sort of mutation where it topped itself and also rotated while growing. In the timelapse you can see the entire plant rotates about 90° over the course of the week. Sadly the other 3 plants kept throwing new issues at me and were at very different heights, all while the Sour Strawberry was tiny. Bending them had little effect and I did not actually want to super crop them just yet. I had to put in a net.

I was getting a bit frustrated again, since I could not seem to fix the issue properly. I put in a net and super cropped the GMO twice, while bending the rest of the GMO and Glookies under the net. I chose the height to be slightly above where the Acapulco Gold was so I could push it into and did not have too much trouble to also fit the other 2, much taller plants underneath. I had to move the tallest GMO branch across the center of the tent, invading the space of Sour Strawberry and Acapulco Gold.

It's been 8 weeks already, I had practically lost 4 weeks due to the "anonymous" debacle and the plants weren't looking too great - aside from Sour Strawberry, which was odd looking, because it kept topping itself but otherwise perfectly healthy. So I decided to flip to flower.

The plants were stretching a bit, pretty much as expected - except for the Sour Strawberry. I don't know if it was due to it getting a bit less light since it was much shorter, but it tripled its size and overtook all of the other plants in height. OK. I guess I could have flipped 2 weeks earlier? Anyway, stretch was almost over, flowers started forming. Some of the plants still looked a bit meh and yellow-ish, but overall the growth during stretch looked healthier than the previous 1-2 weeks.

After this week, stretch was over. I was a bit more motivated now, since the plants we looking much better than before, albeit being a bit light in color. Also the Sour Strawberry really surprised me, because a) it had actually caught up and b) the canopy wasn't as bad as I had anticipated, because it had topped itself a couple of times and helped fill in the net. During this week I was a bit hands off, so I did not actually notice the Sour Strawberry's stretch and did not get a chance to really train it into the net, because it grew too quickly and there was almost no room left anyways, due to the GMO taking up so much space. I finally turned on the AutoPots again. This time no pH adjustment. I decided to move defoliation to the next week.

I did a light lollipopping since stretch was over. Flowers are starting to form nicely. I won't be able to fix the discoloration, so I am just going to live with it. It's not quite as bad as it looks through the web cam timelapse anyway. Despite all the things that went wrong at first, things were looking up now. And the smell. Just wow, all of the plants smell incredibly strong and great. Very different, too. The Acapulco Gold is very sweet, GMO is very gassy, Sour Strawberry gassy with lots of pine, and the Glookies somewhat gassy but also very sweet at the same time.

The flowers are swelling up, the leaves are getting lighter, I noticed the Glookies are starting to show some purple. This made me a bit excited, because during my previous grows most of the plants were plain green, only rarely with a bit of purple on some flowers. Later in the week, the Sour Stawberry also started to become purple on the top and the big fan leaves started fading into yellow very quickly. I guess it's autumn? The GMO is getting more and more leaf issues, since the others aren't bad off, I assume I just can't get it fed properly. Maybe I will boost the nutes up next week. The smell is still incredible, I am so far happy with the choices in strains that I made.

I've turned down the lights again to 60%, and with the increased feeding last week, the GMO and Glookies really seem to be getting back some green where it was almost gone. The overdose in N from CalMag Agent seemed to have done the trick. Some of the lower leaves on the Glookies are already quite dark green, and since I expect to harvest (some) in 2-5 weeks, I don't want to overfeed it now. So I have reduced the CalMag Agent level again. Sour Strawberry and Acapulco Gold are unimpressed and continue to slowly fade. They have also gained a bunch of weight again, all in all it's going ok now.

For this week or the next, I had planned to harvest the Sour Strawberry, but while inspecting the plant, I found some nanners - still mostly in hidden inside the bract - which made me decide to chop it a few days early. Most likey due to heat stress endured due to stretching too much or me turning up the lights to 80% for a while a few weeks ago, I can't be certain that there aren't other nanners or haven't been any in the weeks prior. I expect to find some seeds here and there, but overall I don't think it's going to be a lot. The nanners and harvest aside, this week wasn't very eventful just like the last one. The Acapulco Gold has started to visibly and quickly fade, I'm removing a couple of yellow leaves every day. Trichomes are still in part clear, I expect this one to take at least another 2-3 weeks. The other plants haven't changed much, the trichomes are also still partially clear, similar to the Acapulco Gold, so I'll probably give them at least another 2 weeks. They started drinking less water, so I'll probably also put a little less into the tank this week, given that it's one less plant now, too.

So, a lot of stuff went wrong with this one, but I can't complain too much, since it grew really quickly and the long stretch actually helped out a lot since the plant was behind about 4 weeks. Due to the stretch, it grew really close to the lights to the point where it basically stopped growing buds at a certain range and eventually started fox tailing when I fixed the lighting situation a bit. Due to this, the yield was the lowest this run, but also the smelliest. It's incredibly sour, so it lives up to the name in that regard. I don't get too much else from the smell, but it's really strong. If I put all of the strains next to eachother, the sourness really sticks out and overpowers all the other smells by a lot. -- ~2 Weeks Cure Review: The taste is rather strange, I don't have the words currently to describe it, maybe after I have tried it some more, but it's not really my cup of tea. ~6 Weeks Cure Review: After a few more weeks now, I have to admit, the taste is actually good now and the effects are also consistent. It's still very sour, but the other parts of the taste have changed a bit and don't seem that "strange" anymore. I still can not put words to it, I have selected Cream below, but I am not sure it fits. The effect for me is a strong body high, where my limbs want to move, I overall feel very active and focused. I have a bit of a feeling of having been punched in the face, my eyes are a bit dry, mouth, too. My mind seems detached, but still focused. I do also seem to experience some slight optical/color effects or at least a bit of light sensitivity. Not sure if the latter could be related to the early harvest. I consume exclusively at 190°C in a dry herb vaporizer, which also greatly effects which cannabinoids I take in. But for me this is a good strain for cooking, doing chores, etc. -- Overall it feels like the strain isn't that stabilized yet, and I don't mean the nanners, that was likely my bad, but the mutations/self-topping I've seen in a couple of different grows for this strain now and it seems to be happening comparatively often with this one.

While I had planned to harvest the Sour Strawberry this week, I now actually had to chop it early after finding a few nanners. Pretty sure it's at least partially my fault due to it being too close to the lights, because it stretched much more than the other plants. I don't think these nanners actually pollinated anything, because they were still inside a sus looking bract, but there might have been others, that I didn't find (yet). I did angle the lights, trying to fix the distance a bit, but it didn't seem to help much, also the 2 weeks where it ran on 80% was probably too much overall since the other plants also look burned. I will have to pay more attention next time and not let it run so long without checking on the plants.

This week I didn't fill the reservoir, so they were still using the solution from the last week and then the remaining moisture from the soil. I spotted some sus looking parts in the Glookies and since it looks done and started fading very quickly once the reservoir was empty, I decided to chop it on day 70F (first day of week 19). The others, especially the GMO, look like they can keep going a bit longer, so I gave them a watering directly into the pot.

The plant seemed to have some light stress which likely caused the nanners, but aside from that I can't complain. Very strong plant, incredible smell and good resin production. The taste is something different, I can't put my finger on it and I don't know if I like it or if it's just weird. Will have to do more sampling, haha.

I saw some sus looking bracts last week and found a nanner in a closed one. Since they look done anyways, I decided to chop. Very beautiful flowers. The yield is about as much as I expected, smell is great, very fruity. Hoping for great taste and effect as well, now it's time for the waiting game.

I chopped on day 74F, could have maybe gone a bit longer, but it was looking good already and I needed the space in the tent. With 200g wet, yield is lower than Glookies and GMO, but the buds are big and compact. Sadly I didn't catch one wilting leaf early enough and there was a tiny mold spot inside the bud where that leaf was. No actual botrytis though, so I had to throw out only some parts. I inspected the plant thoroughly, of course.

thanks, I don't have any other pictures of it. the nanners were literally hidden inside a bract still, it was just looking a bit "stiff" and slightly deformed (no idea how to describe it, really) as if something more solid was inside it. So I opened it up, saw the nanners, and immediately plucked it
