Unfortunately, I have not used any air domes yet. But I also suspected that it could be due to the aeration. I also got myself a pump a few days ago. I am currently looking for a redneck engineering solution. Would you rather poke a few holes in the substrate and insert perforated hoses or put a hose in the base to bubble the water there?
