I am very excited. 👻
It will be my first attempt on Coco and also my first attempt with the autopots. 😇😋
Because it's not all new enough yet, I'm also trying mephisto for the first time.
I have added another 10% clay balls to the Plagron Coco 70% / Perlite 30%.
I also have drainage in the clay balls. I soaked them in PH-adjusted water beforehand and rinsed them.
The two Double Grape have cracked the shell and I put them directly into the coco.
I soaked the Coco with approx. 1.8L of water (PH 5.8 at 650ppm) beforehand.
The light is set to 21/3 (DLI 19-20)
Wish me luck, I hope everything goes well. 👽👽👽
The day before yesterday, on December 1st, the head finally came out of the coco. I water according to the Canna Coco scheme.
Since I started in the end pot, I won't water it so much at the beginning in the hope that the roots will spread better.
The VPD is currently between 0.6 and 0.7. (Ph 5.8 650ppm) 😈
So far everything looks good. Today is day 12. 👻
This is my first time with coco and I have to get used to adjusting the PH and EC really perfectly. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes not quite.
I adjusted the PH for the first time with nitric acid and hoped that it would be 100% stable, but it still goes up by about 0.2-0.3 points every 24 hours. 😤
But I have the feeling that the plants are bigger for their age than in soil. 👏
I water 0.75L (5% pot volume) twice a day with a little drainage.
Currently the VPD is between 0.6 and 0.75 (PH5.8 760ppm) 👽
See you next week!
I'm out of town for 7 days over the holidays. 👹👹
That's why I've started using the Autopots. The plants have already started drinking.
Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well. 💩
Today is day 18 and so far they're developing well. They're currently getting around 800ppm at a pH of 5.8.
I'll bring the reservoir back up to 5.6 before I leave so that it doesn't drift too far up during the week.
VPD 0.8 currently.
When I got back from the holidays I realised that I had not set one of the autopots correctly. 💀
The plant was not developing well and was showing very clear signs of overwatering.
I reinstalled the autopot system and refilled the reservoir and this time adjusted the PH to 5.5, as otherwise it would drift above 6.2 too quickly.
Otherwise, everything is going well. I have reduced the fertilizer a little again because the plants are very green and have now increased the vpd to 0.9 -1.0.👽😺
In general, I probably started the autopots too early. 😱😰
The larger one coped better and now seems strong and vital.
The other one had such severe overwatering symptoms that I switched back to hand watering and will test the autopots again at a later date. 💩
I hope they recover from this and that I haven't destroyed the most important part.
I don't want small autoflowers, maybe I'll start again if it doesn't get going. 💀
We are now in the middle of stretching and the plants look very happy again.
They are growing by 2-3cm every day.
I don't know exactly why the plants are overwatered, but I think it could be due to my drainage. I'm an idiot, I unfortunately put this weird sock for root control from Autopot in the pot instead of in the Autopot base.
Otherwise, I'm very happy with how the plants are developing.
Of course, I'm a little annoyed that I lost a lot of potential by overwatering them.
But you always learn something new. 👽
The plants have finally started drinking properly from the Autopots. And are doing very well. 👻
Many, many thanks to @Grow_for_Happiness for your support.👏👏
Next time I will use the Airdomes.
The stretch is in full swing and the big one is now 76cm.
Unfortunately the other one will probably not grow as big, currently 50cm. But it has a thick trunk, let's see how it turns out.
20L Res every 5 days (900ppm ph5.5)
After I was really happy that the autopots were finally working, of course, the next scare came right away. In the evening, I noticed a slight calcium deficiency, and then everything happened fast—within two days, the plant turned completely yellow. 💀💀💀
Since I've been fertilizing at EC2 (1000ppm), I started looking for other issues and first recalibrated my devices. The measured pH was exactly on point at 5.6 in the reservoir. Then I thought about root rot, so I let the pot dry out and checked it from underneath. Some very white and healthy root tips were poking out of the holes, and the smell was completely normal—no rotting smell indicating root issues. 😇
So my assumption was, if it's not root rot or a pH problem, then the plants must be hungry. I increased the EC to 2.4 (1200ppm) and hope it recovers.
The other plant was nearly over-fertilized at EC2. So, I probably won't be able to feed both plants from the same reservoir anymore. It's a pain. 💩
But other than that, things are going well. 😊

Alright, here we go again – back to hand-watering. 👽
After increasing the nutrients and seeing the plant getting worse, I decided to flush it because I honestly had no clue what else could be wrong. As soon as the first runoff came through, so did the awful smell... and the horrible realization that there was a serious case of root rot going on. 👹
So, I switched back to hand-watering to get some more runoff. Treated it with a bit of hydrogen peroxide, and it seems to be bouncing back.
The other plant is basically just one big bud at this point. 😊
I’ve slightly reduced the nutrients and added PK 13/14 yesterday.
It’s definitely a wild ride, and I’m just hoping everything turns out fine!
After treating with hydrogen peroxide and hand-watering, she bounced back completely. 👻👻
So far, everything's running smoothly.
They're maturing nicely and producing well. I think in about three weeks, it'll be time.
I'll give PK 13/14 for about three more days, then continue with just A+B. Stopped using enzymes and such because of the H2O2.
VPD is currently at 1.1 - 1.3 (EC 2.1, pH 5.6).
Everything went great this week! The plants are ripening and developing nicely. 😎😎
The smaller one already looks a bit more mature, so I’ll start checking the trichomes soon.
The big one has fully recovered and is packing on some serious size and weight. 👻👽
I’ve cut out the PK and now I’m only watering with Coco A+B and a bit of H2O2.
They’re almost there. The smell is amazing! 😊😊😊
The grow is almost done, and the plants are really packing on the weight. The smaller one was so dense and already had mature trichomes, so I harvested some of the big branches early and am giving the lower ones a few more days of light. 😍
Other than that, the last few days have been great. The cut branches from DG2 have yielded 226g wet so far.👻
