AI PAR Estimate:
Current: 120W @ 25cm = ~550–700 µmol/m²/s (center), ~450–550 µmol/m²/s (edges).
Optimum: 400–600 µmol/m²/s for early vegetative stage.
Max Absorption: ~24 mol/day with 24h, ~20 mol/day with 20/4 (plants at this stage need ~15–20 mol/day).
Comment: Current setup is within the optimal range for vegetative growth. Monitoring intensity daily to keep it slightly above optimum for maximizing yield potential without causing stress.
D1 1x water ; AI adjusted the height to 36 cm (longer internodes for better lollypopping), was the target in the original plan anyway.
D2 AI calculated a customized nutrient schedule based on informations of my recycled soil and the leftover nutritions.
Adaption of AI: W10 AI proposed flushing of the soil, as I recycle and have living worms (so proud ;-) ) in it. I dont like to flush all micro life away and drain all my worms. Even if the corpses could be basis for new micro life 😈
D3 1x water
D4 As I raised the height, AI and stupid me forgot to adjust the wattage/PAR according to the new height. 😤Therefore, raised to 160W.
Analysis of all parameters, overview of tent and a shot of each plant. Here is the AI report:
14.01.2025 - W02D04 | D18:
Conditions: Light set to 160W at 36 cm. Temperature: 24.5–28°C day, 19.8–21°C night. RH: 65–75%.
Observations: All plants healthy, no signs of stress. Growth and structure remain consistent.
Changes: Light intensity increased to 160W and height adjusted to 36 cm for better stretch, aiming for higher internodal distance to facilitate harvesting. Decision made independently to achieve this goal.
PAR Estimate:
160W @ 36cm: Estimated ~500–650 µmol/m²/s (center), ~400–500 µmol/m²/s (edges).
Optimum: 400–600 µmol/m²/s for vegetative growth.
Result: Setup remains within optimal range, ensuring consistent growth without stress.
Notes: Adjustment will be monitored to confirm if it achieves the desired stretch without causing stress.
My estimation of AI usefullness. At the moment I would say, don't waste your time on AI in at LEAST the first 3-5 weeks. Perhaps it can help with some trouble shooting, but I think if everything is well prepaired your senses will give you a better guide, if not you will learn a lot^^ Perhaps if there is a higher grade of process controll, data sets and automation e.g. PAR-meter, 3+ RH and temp. sensors, humidity of soil etc. pp, it would make a difference and/or a very precise and extensive pretraining. Nonetheless, AI wouldn't have killed anything even without questions/discussions with me, so for everyone who is not sure or haunted by bad luck .. an option. I look forward towards training, hope the AI will really drive me to my limits so I can see what happens if I don't do my standard treatment.
D5 1x water
1x neem treatment (standard precaution at week 3, mostly sprayed the soil) I asked AI if I should do anything else (I wouldn't have) when I am at it. AI was fine but it wouldn't mind to add some of my horsetail extract, chalk and rooting powder (?!👽👽👽), I didn't mind or think either.
D7 1x water.
End of the week, analysis of all parameters, overview of tent and a shot of each plant. Here is the AI report:
17.01.2025 - W02D07 | D21:
Conditions: Light at 160W, 36 cm. Temperature: 25–27°C day, 19.5–20.5°C night. RH: 60–70%.
Observations: Plants healthy, good internodal spacing for easier harvest, lower branches forming steadily.
Changes: No new adjustments; settings from early Week 3 applied to promote stretch and yield.
Notes: Current setup supports desired stretch and structure; monitoring continues. The growth of most plants is average for this stage, with no indications of being under- or above-average; current conditions appear suitable, and continuous monitoring and adjustments are recommended to optimize growth.
So not much new, but the plants finally speed up a little bit. I am looking forward to next week and hope AI will advise some training, at least I would start if it was my run 👻
