Thumbs up
been struggling with growth since moving this plant back into my 3x3 to fill up and flower out in ,
came to realize it was probably from the pump being inside of the 3x3 and it being hot inside,
therefore pumping hot water into my reservoirs.
to fix this issue, i have moved the pump outside of the temp and lowered the ec,
lets see how this works out
12/30
water level dropped, ec dropped and ph stayed about static,
raised EC to 1,0 , seems the plant is uptaking again and in a good spot.
seems to have grown a little
res temps are 65 degrees now
12/31
water level dropped, ec dropped and ph dropped slightly,
according to the DWC chart this is good, means the plant is drinking and uptaking, but needs higher EC.
I've opted not to res swap , i just did this 3 or 4 days ago
instead I have raised the EC to 1,1.
So currently we've dropped the EC to ,8 and have raised it to 1,1 over the past few days.
Root rot is seeming to be resolving itself and new root growth has started including out of the net pot sides.
looks like we should be seeing normal growth return soon, hopefully!
also plan to switching over to GH trio next week, just kinda done with CES as far as my dwc goes
PLEASE SEE LAST WEEK TO UNDERSTAND WHY WE'RE HERE :'(
1/1/25
ringing in the new year with a nutrient swap.
General Hydroponics Flora Series
I am currently following the included chart's "Light Feed"
and mixing my CaliMagic first at 3ml/g (I am using RO water.)
I mixed to 1,3 EC & 5.8
next res swap i will add bulletproof si from the cutting edge line at 1ml / gallon
1/3/25
came across another huge issue with my grow
i've been calibrating my ph pen with RO instead of distilled water
and improperly calibrating...
ph was way under where it was supposed to be.
properly calibrated pen and knocked ph back up to 5.8
sheesh a lot of issues but it's all a learning game...
EC has stayed about steady, i'm unaware of how the ph has changed considering my improper calibration before...
not swapping res until the week is over, i got faith in the chart lol
1/4/25
in a short couple days i see crazy root growth in the bucket, and the plant visually looks happier, not TOO much growth , but i can see some small leaves growing in,
leaves seem to be getting bigger on the bottom, leaves wouldn't get big before.
i have switched the air line going into the bucket to black instead of clear to prevent light leakage.
1/5/25
bumping up to 1,7 with cal mag
1,0 after calmag
ec keeps dropping, but EC is dropping too, the dwc chart leads me to believe i need more nutes
i have bumped from 50% strength to 75% and will see if this helps.
not really scrogging atp , just waiting for more considerable growth,
it's taking nutrients and growing, just not where i want it to be.
consider water temp being TOO cold as i'm blowing a fan on it and it stays pretty cool,
but i used a meat thermometer to measure the temp and it is around 68 degrees.
so i don't believe that is an issue.
i think this is just a matter of increase the nutes and wait it out.
1/7/25
upgraded today to an AC infinity pH pen
calibrated and pHed my plants accordingly.
low and behold , the pH was certainly off LOL
https://amzn.to/4063NQo 👈 this is the pH pen i got
also grabbed a 40w 8outlet pump from Vivosun
should be in a much better spot from here on out.
https://amzn.to/3Wa9E5U
pH is rising now that i have an accurate pH pen
not a ton, nice and slow,
ec is staying around the same spot, maybe going down a little
super tight noding, great pheno so far
She's kind of been through the ringer, but I think she will pull through.
She's getting about 55% of bottle recommended nutrients following the growweedeasy chart, but increased 5%.
Sometimes its hard to look at the new growth and accept that it's in a better state and that there's nothing to fix.
She's doing good, I'd like to increase the light, but I have just moved her into the 4x4 with the Limetta Marmalade,
Since they're hitting veg.
She's getting around 30 DLI right now.
about 0.9 kPa (NEED AC INFINITY IR THERM lol)
Stem split was completely unintentional, she just stiffened up so damn much when she was sick.
new week because grow logs kept giving me errors when i tried to update the last one....
looking good, like 30dli, 1.3EC 5.8 pH
staying pretty steady , res swap 1/19/25
1/21/25
noticed some spotting on leaves and i believe it to be a pest. i have been spraying a solid amount of neem oil a couple of times a day.
1/23 pH is fine, but was noticing some slight deficincies , checked out the ppm and it brought it from 1,1 ec to like ,8 so i switched to 50% aggressive veg
