Clone Grow Diary: SLHxRS11
Introduction
This grow focuses on three carefully selected clones from our current flowering SLHxRS11 plants. These clones were chosen based on the superior structure of their mother plants, ensuring that the best genetics are carried forward. Our goal is to vegetate and flower these clones to explore their full potential.
Propagation Phase
Three clones were taken from the best-performing SLHxRS11 mother plants in the flowering tent, focusing on structural qualities like internodal spacing, branching, and overall health.
The clones were placed in 4x4 cm rockwool cubes to root. Over approximately 15 days, they developed strong, healthy roots, ready for the next stage of growth.
Transplant to Vegetation
Once the clones showed robust root systems, they were transplanted into larger 15x15 cm rockwool cubes to support continued development during the vegetative phase. This step marks the transition to focused growth and preparation for flowering.
Week 5 Vegetative Phase
Mid-week, the clones are now well-established in their 15x15 cm rockwool cubes and showing strong signs of prosperity.
However, they are positioned slightly too far from the light, which may impact their growth. Plans are in place to adjust their placement and ensure optimal light exposure by the end of the week.
Growth and Hydration:
The clones have shown significant growth and are now drinking well, indicating healthy root systems and overall vigor.
Observations:
The plants appear robust and well-established.
In the photos, the leaves are drooping, but this is because the pictures were taken during their night cycle, which I nearly forgot to do.
Day 46 - Last day Veg
This diary follows the flowering progress of three clones derived from our SLH x RS11 mother plant. Each clone was selected for its exceptional traits:
#2: Robust plant with notable stretch.
#3: Vigorous growth and strong structural development.
#4: Compact, bushy structure, much like its mother.
Week 1 of Flowering
Nutrient Adjustments: Transitioned to a bloom feeding schedule with pH adjusted to 6.0/6.1 to support flowering.
Growth Observations:
#2 and #3: Showing strong vertical growth and adapting well to the nutrient changes.
#4: Remaining bushy and compact, with dense foliage. Additional care is taken to monitor airflow around this plant.
Environment: Daytime temperatures steady at 26ºC with 60% humidity.
Introduced an extra fan below the canopy for improved air circulation.
End of Week 5 Flowering
The SLH x RS11 clones are developing well, though they are slightly behind the Moweeto and FullGas in terms of bud weight. They are still drinking less, around 600ml per day, but stacking up nicely. The aroma is evolving, combining Super Lemon Haze’s citrus with a sweeter, fruity twist, creating a unique and complex terpene profile.
During the defoliation and lollipop on day 21, hermaphroditic traits were found in one of the SLH x RS11 clones, but nothing concerning. The affected areas were cleaned up at the time, and since then, no further signs of hermaphroditism have appeared.
