I almost despaired of getting my seeds to germinate after I moved house. Unfortunately, I seem to have stored them incorrectly during the move, so almost all of my auto seeds refused to germinate. But this single Mimosa Cake Auto from Fastbuds did manage it in only 2 days, and I'm very happy to be able to grow three plants at once after all. What a struggle! Because I was given a pretty olla (a clay pot that you bury in the ground), I'm going to try it out this time. Fertiliser cannot be added this way, but it should prevent the soil from drying out. In this grow, I used my usual nutrients from Greenbuzz-Nutrients, which I received as a sponsorship over a year ago. Time to use them up! As a substrate, I used the peat-free Lightmix from T.A. again. It is cheaper than alternatives with peat and better for the environment, so I recommend everyone to give it a try.

It's a bit Zen to measure out the right amount for the different nutrients and then add them. When I have time, I really enjoy doing this. But I'm glad that only one of my three plants needs regular fertilisation and other nutrients. For this "Cake" grow, I found an extra large Lego cake - for scale.

The only grow where I have to get active, and it seems it's all going well. I have to be careful because I still have no exhaust system and humidity is high.

This plant is a week and a half younger than my oldest here, but it is slowly catching up. Because I planted it quite close to the edge of the pot, I was able to bend the stem well, using simple tent pegs. I continue to use the full Greenbuzz range for fertilizing, the Olla (the clay jug) is not yet in use. Added a little bit of CalMag, because of prior experience. In the meantime, I've finally installed a decent humidity and temperature meter. Partly because I had no exhaust air, partly because it hurts a bit more when three plants go moldy than when just one does. It's fun to monitor that. At the moment it fluctuates quite a bit because I occasionally have the box open for longer, but that will normalize. My exhaust air set is the one from the old grow box and is a bit too small and, above all, too loud. But it's good enough for now.

I'm a bit sorry that I didn't manage to grow three seeds of the same variety. This makes it really hard to tell if the slower growth of this plant is due to the different conditions. Be that as it may, the plant is alive and well, but it is falling far behind the other two in terms of size. Let's see what it looks like when flowering begins. I add the nutrients by top watering, but also started to add purified water to the olla to keep it from drying out.

Flowering started! The plant is rather fragile, especially compared to the other ones. It's also a bit light, so I increased feeding a little. Tried the olla for the first time this weekend.

Maybe I didn't feed her enough. She looks good in general, but a bit top light. I upped the feeding, let's see If that helps. It already seems to help a little.

I should apologise a little to this plant. I have increased the nutrient supply in the last two weeks so that it is no longer so terribly pale, but as you can see, I have not given it enough water. I had thought the olla would do it for me, but apparently the water requirement of cannabis is too great for such a rather small olla. Another lesson learnt. Sorry, little one. Nevertheless, the buds look promising (finally). More and closer pictures next week.

She smells very nice! Like herbs, not really like weed at all. I have managed to give her enough to drink so that the leaves have not suffered any further. But I still have the impression that I have neglected the poor plant somewhat. It is still rather fragile and the leaves are not looking especially healthy. But at least the flowers have continued to grow diligently.

A lot has happened to this plant in the last week - the buds have swollen noticeably. I realise that I'm a bit spoilt by Biotabs, because mixing the fertiliser solution is starting to feel like an unpleasant chore. Nevertheless, I am still very grateful to be able to try out these fertilisers! And of course they work wonderfully.

Happy Harvest Day!

I had actually hoped that the ladies would gain a little more weight, but unfortunately I noticed that more and more trichomes were changing colour - and then it was her turn. Only 161 wet weight - I guess I ended up with about 40g. The buds are fluffy and so full of (very resinous) leaves that I only cut off the tips of the leaves in the end. Anything else would have caused the buds to crumble. One problem was that the branches were extremely delicate and I had to be very careful not to break anything during training.

Using the olla for irrigation was probably not a good idea in the small pot. It did its job very well when watering - and you can see that the roots were well cared for - but it took up too much space in the small pot.

Thank you! From the description, it should be the most interesting plant for me. Let's see in two weeks or so.

water management in the airpots is hard. the need daily watering and patience. thats why i dont use them no more. or a irrigation system helps you,,,,,

kohlrabicommented24 days ago
That is true. With only 3 plants to manage, I am trying to water them patiently, but patience is not one of my bigger virtues.... Still, I think Air pots are neat!

Nice lst bro, I see you rocking the air pots, I've just grabbed 4 50liters to my next season =)... Best wishes and good crops

@kannafarmer, I love them! I'm quite sure they make a difference (compared to regular pots). The roots are not long and stretchy, but many little roots that go in all directions. I have some big ones as well and want to use them as "raised beds" on my new balcony.
