sungrwn Not sure which is which in this picture but they were all doing very well at the end of week 2. I am using a T5 6400 K for the first 4 weeks. They're already pretty stout ladies as the fan is challenging them to steady themselves. Onward...

sungrwn Week 3 ended with some small rootlets popping out the bottom of the 4" pots. In retrospect, I would have transplanted them at this point. 4 weeks was too much in these small pots. They were all still drinking at varying rates so I kept a close eye out for when they needed water. The GSC was the thirstiest and the tallest as well. She had the biggest fan leafs at this point. I had grown her out once before so I knew she was a beast. The Lemon was stacking nicely along with the Zkittles, very closely noded plants already. They grow up so fast!!

sungrwn Got the ladies in my 25's. The GSC has a 25 all to herself while the other two sets of each share their own 25. My setup is an outdoor greenie that is under a deck so it doesn't get full sun. We supplement with T5's 3000R for the moment but will soon be stepping up to a Growers Choice 315. The spread on that is only around 3' at a 36" distance from the plants for instead of the 25's in a line as they are currently, I will have to set them up in a triangular fashion to maximize light spread per plant. The greenie measures 9x5x7h so they have plenty of room when they stretch. I will grow photo period plants from August to March. I can take advantage of the 12/12 natural light cycle at that time of the year where I live because I am unable to light dep at the moment. I use a Korean Natural Farming technique along with the No Till system of soil management. Look into both in you want to grow the most organically clean and sustainable cannabis. I have had the same soil in my 25's for 2 years. I feed the soil what it needs at the correct time and eventually have built up a strong rhizosphere that is somewhat self sustaining. Too much to go into here but feel free to ask any questions youd like.
I dropped the girls into the 25's this week and overwatered them slightly, as you can clearly see. I am trying to maintain a cover crop as well so I need the humus layer consistently moist. Decided to train the GSC and Lemon AK to see what's what. Not training the Zkittles but should be okay with the height difference as she appears to be a squat girl. Flipping the bulbs out this week as well to the 3000R flowering bulbs.

The ladies are at week 5 here. Sorry I didn't take more pics. I just came off a photo run so adjusting to the Autos takes a minute. The Lemon AK and GSC training is finished. I wanted to open up the bottom 2/3 nodes to see how it actually effects the yield. They're usually littles down that far so we will see when it's all said and done what we get. This is what my grow is doing. Yours will vary. If I had a 1000W to play with, you bet your ass I'd be having some mini spears down low but not even with the lowly T5's. Glad for what I got but when you are informed as to what the step ups can net you, one has to learn to be patient. These girls have finally taken hold of the soil and will most likely start to beast out now. I rarely water the bags like you would imagine. A 24" soil probe reveals a consistently moist layer starting only 3/4" below the surface. I will give the ladies a light weekly feeding for the humus layer pest management including Neem oil. Once every three weeks I will throw the appropriate nutrients for the current state of the grow to supplement what they need. I have made ferments for all three phases of the grow and in between for the subtle adjustments. The next two weeks will prove to be very interesting. Stay tuned.
I honestly wasn't going to post up here but I wanted to give some props and love to FastBuds. They have been entrusting me with their genetics throughout the 2 year life cycle of these 25's. Not all of the grows have been stellar but they have stuck with me and my growth as I moved into new organic territory after using the salt based diet much of the world grows with indoors. To each his own; and love to all the ganja warriors out there holding it down. FastBuds is a solid company with solid genetics.

The GSC and Lemon AK are trying to stretch up to that light the Zkittles is owning right now and doing a great job of it. The GSC is a bit of an overachiever and we like that about her. I love how Autos start kinda scrawny, what with little to no leaf matter. Then they start to build that house which eventually becomes this beautiful lady with all the healing powers we need. Did you know that we humans have an endocanabinoid system? And did you also know that cannabis has a canabinoid system? How is it that cannabis is THE ONLY PLANT ON THIS PLANET that has the means to attach itself to our endo system? It was meant to always be a healing plant and that is why. These ladies are going to be building this house quickly now. I've seen this all before. Once they "feel" the soil and all the other plants that have come before them, it's on like Donkey Kong. See ya next week. Blessings

sungrwn This week went very well as the ladies seem to be connecting with the soil more and more. Upward growth is slowing somewhat although the GSC is still stretching. The last time I grew this girl she was very aggressive with her stretching. I see the downfall of not keeping all the girls the same height as the Lemon AK can't seem to stretch fast enough. We will see as I will probably be able to keep the light in the same spot very soon once the Zkittles stops her stretch. I've got another Lemon and Zkittles in paper towels as we speak. I will be letting these girls grow unaltered. No training for my future autos. Too short of a grow cycle to have them work on other things like topping and aggressive LST......for me anyways. The smells coming off the Zkittles is stating to pop with fruity notes and a slight gas smell. The Lemon AK is building the frost early and I'm hoping this is a good sign of things to come. She smells like Now and Laters. The girls are starting to build the leaf structure and fill out as we move into week 8. Big changes happening as we get towards the meat of flowering.

sungrwn Everything is moving along nicely with the ladies this past week. I'm posting on week 10 so I have to catch up and take some photos to kept current. Nevertheless, I'm mostly happy with the grow. Any issues have to do with me and not the plants. Sometimes you make a decision for whatever reason and grow to regret it.....so to speak. The Lemon AK is trying her hardest but being so far from the lights I don't see her producing much on this round. The smell coming off her is AMAZING, full on citrus terps coming off this girl. Whatever smoke she produces will be fire. The Zkittles is bulking out and has stopped stretching. Any more height will be from flower development. She smells like rotten cantaloupe and getting frosty af. The GSC continues to impress on the daily. The lowers that I held up with bamboo stakes are now as tall or taller than the main cola, which is impressive in her own right. The noding is all GSC and FastBuds really did their homework on this one. She has that classic GSC nose and as we move forward will surely start to frost up.

sungrwn I have two very different phenos with the Lemon AK. I've seen this before with Autos and questions if there has been enough genetic work to warrant a cultivar release before enough time has elapsed to eliminate such genetic freak shows as one of my Lemon AK's. If you backcross enough times you will more than likely breed out issues with flower that is made entirely of calyx's. This also helps with pm, pest issues, and general plant health. I wish that all the companies would breed to at least an F3 no matter how long it took just so they know that when the put out a 3 pack it's all good. I would be severely disappointed if I paid for a 3 pack and 2 of them looked like the one phone I've got. Just telling it like it is and this is only my experience under my grow conditions. Yours may vary. The GSC is a monster, end of story. Good genetics and solid growth each time I put this bean in the soil. Zkittlez is doing awesome as well and hopefully with push herself a bit harder. This wet winter has definitely cause a slight delay from the lack of sun. Until Week 11.....
