Annapurna (Tokyo Sunset x Four Peaks)

Marbanya 2025-01-12 to 2025-01-18 Both plants were topped on the 12th of January, marking the start of the Veg cycle. These cultivars are similar to another cultivar from the Four Peaks line from Trichome Bros in that the bottom of the stems are weak. This is most likely due to the top-heavy growth in this strain at the seedling stage. 01-12 Day 01 Veg Topped 01-16 Day 05 Transplanted to 3 gallon fabric pots in coco.

Marbanya 2025-01-19 to 2025-01-25 Our weather was could and dry throughout the week which allowed me to dial in the VPD a little better. It was obvious by the uptake in nutrients they've been drinking. One plant seems to be growing faster than the other, almost like a male.

Marbanya 2025-01-26 to 2025-02-01 As mentioned on the Four Peaks grow diary, the stems are hollow like the Chernobyl lineage she comes from. LST is difficult and I need to watch these plants daily, adding LST clips as soon as I have the distance between nodes to do so.

Marbanya 2025-02-02 to 2025-02-08 I am continuing to LST and defoliate. So far, they have taken nutrients during every feeding, without showing any signs of stress or burning.

Marbanya 2025-02-09 to 2025-02-15 During this vigorous growth period I am continuing to LST, although I have backed off the FloraGro (2-1-6) nutrient by 5ml per gallon. I have also topped again this week. I am tempted to begin flowering one of these two plants, but I am still not comfortable with the stability at the stump. I currently have it propped up with wire and have watered lightly around the top-outter edges of the pot with Clonex, attempting to get more surface roots. I like hearing how other growers solve problems, so if you have any tips on rescuing a plant that might has week surface root structure after transplanting, let me know in the comments.

Marbanya 2025-02-16 to 2025-02-22 The stump is strengthening, though I think this plant will require crutches it's entire life. The top-heavy nature of this cultivar requires attention in the seedling stage with lower-than-average (distance to plant) lighting to shorten vertical growth while the stalk strengthens.

Marbanya 2025-02-23 to 2025-03-01 With a final LST/Defoliation session, I put one of the two plants into flower on 02-23. If I had more room in the flowering tent, I would add both of them as the Trichome Bros. seeds are extremely affordable, and If I decide I like the results of this "Freebie Grow", I will order more of this cultivar.

Marbanya 2025-03-16 to 2025-03-22 Annapurna is another cultivar in the Four Peaks line from Trichome Bros. The parents are Four Peaks x Tokyo Sunset. She is drinking nearly 0.5 gallons a day of nutes or water. 03-16 feed 0.5 gal 03-17 feed 0.5 gal (mistakenly fed two days in a row) 03-18 water 0.5 gal 03-20 feed 0.5 gal 03-22 water 0.5 gal

Marbanya 2025-03-23 to 2025-03-29 The flower stacks should be excellent. I'm expecting the aromas to kick in any day, as this plant is about 1 week behind her cousin, Four Peaks (see the Four Peaks diary).

Marbanya 2025-03-30 to 2025-04-05 The flowers are just starting to pump up and giving off a slightly sweet aroma, though the citrus from the Chernobyl lineage is still prevalent. I'm anxious to see the colors as she starts to mature.

Marbanya 2025-04-06 to 2025-04-12 We had around 8 inches of rain this past week, bringing the humidity up to uncontrollable levels, or at least beyond the capabilities of my dehumidifiers. Growing in a basement tends to be damp to start with, but when we have this much rain, the VPD becomes impossible to keep in the "ideal growth zone".

Marbanya 2025-04-13 to 2025-04-19 The target harvest date for a 63 day flower period is 04-27, though I doubt it goes that long. The trichomes are completely cloudy with a few starting to turn amber.

Marbanya 2025-04-20 to 2025-04-25 She made it to Day 62 or flower. With ample amber trichomes, I'm cutting and hanging her today. Unlike the other Four Peaks line of cultivars, this one is short and stocky, more like an Indica. No nutrients for the last 10 days.

Marbanya The plant was harvested and hung in a 60/60 environment to dry. I trimmed only the fan leaves at harvest. I'm expecting an ounce or two of dry weight, as this cultivar was grown as a sample and intentionally kept small of stature.
