Initial cuttings entry for this journal on the to-be-pollinated F2s. We’ll be backing out each plant specimen against some F1 pollen in an effort to trait stabilize the best bud of the lot. Still debating on pushing my luck with just the aero-cloner through the whole shortened cycle. If not I’ll have to cobble together some sort of shallow dwc bin from scratch to accommodate them for the long haul. Pollen as soon as we see prevalent pistils. ***Grow notes: 2 cuts from each plant specimen against- #5 potentially a male. All lookn great and perky post-cutting. Let’s hope the F1 pollen is still preserved🤞🤞🤞.

End of the first official week of rooting for these WalkerBerry OG cuts. We’re down to 6 plants and 2 specimens of each. It’s been 4 days since initial cutting and they’re already showing small signs of rooting. I’ve had nothing but success with this little home made aerocloner for years and it’s just so much easier and less hassle than all the humidity domes and mats etc. nothing against it - I’m just lazy and all that stuff is a pain in the ass. As of now - all the leaves on the cuts have started to ball up in confusion as they shift focus to more root creation. They want to flower but know they can’t so I expect to see re-vegetation in another few days. After that we’ll probably have to look at some sort of impromptu dwc system as this container likely can’t take even half of em through full term through pollination. We’ll look to re-initiate flower as soon as they’ve got some decent developed root growth. Alls good here👍. ***update - all clones showing good root growth in only 7 days. Upping to a full Rez in a couple days.

12 days to full transplantable roots. Right on schedule as expected. Moved 6 of the 12 clones (1 per plant) into a new 45L Rez that I cobbled together in an evening. Just small enough to fit into the cabinet. Hopefully the roots don’t choke each other out for territory while we work to reveg, re-flower and ultimately seed em all for the new F3 line. We’ll pick the best buds from the lot for the next testing run once we see what the pheno variation looks like from the main run in the tent. It’s a process and annoyance not to be yielding bud off a grow cycle but it is what it is if you want your own signature stuff. Alls good for now. Let’s just hope that the 6 coats of paint I threw on the lid is enough to keep out the grow light penetration🤞. Shoulda used black, whatever.

Solid week. All the clones responded really well to the new res. And they didn’t fully transition the first time so were quick to start re-veging. We’re flipping to flower now to try and keep plant heights down and root mass smaller. *Notes: hopeful to see some quality representation from at least a couple of these clones once the run in the main tent starts to turnover. Still genetically firing from the hip but there’s usually at least one of those prized purple and pink hue phenos in every run of this strain. If I can keep that trait prevalent throughout later generations of this cross - it’s a win.

Week 1 of flower in the books and they’re all stretching nicely. Root mass is in good shape and starting to conform to the Rez walls so it’s gett’n tangled in there. We’ll move over to full bloom nutes in the coming week and hopefully cotton balls within the next 2. Alls good for now.

Week 2 flower - no issues, still waiting on cotton balls. ***notes: nutes at 2.5tsp./10L - no def. Or burn in dwc. All of em are lookn perfect. Cut back heavy fan leaf growth this week.

3rd official week of flower in the books and all of em are turning over well with cottonballs starting to form. Should be good to go for pollination on next update. Absolutely no deficiency issues with any of these as yet which differs from their parents growing in coco. Should be interesting to see what transpires with em - if they remain fully healthy through flower and seeding then we can be relatively assured that the strain is stable but finicky when it comes to medium. Alls good for now👍.

Week 4 of flower and we laid down the pollen this week after a quick defo. Honestly - I somewhat doubt that the pollen we pulled off the F1 generation a couple runs ago is still viable. It was still worth shot while we had the opportunity but this stuff is old. Preserved properly but old. Waited about 2 days before hosing em all down with water which should make any lingering pollen inert if it actually is still viable. No choice there as the wife is moving in her spring starts to the cloning cabinet so we’ve had to amalgamate these with the pole dancers that are currently in flower. I timed it right under most circumstances but unfortunately - if there is any lingering, viable pollen these other F1 testers are about to get pregnant. They’re gonna take another 6 some odd weeks of flower so we might’ve just truly ruined the pole dancers for a full flower. No big deal and not the end of the world regardless because the important thing is to draw seed from the clones if possible. Otherwise, we’re back to running some more F1s and F2s for fresh pollen and another pheno hunt. The big goal on this run was simply to find viable, quality specimens of the strain for potential pollination and we now know we’ve got something to work with on these WalkBerries🤘👌.
