5 days for seed to open using paper towel method. I jumped with glee when I saw it had split open and the tap root was showing.
This is my second grow and first since 2021, so I am excited to get going!
Planted in 5 gallon fabric pot in BioBizz All Mix on 1/27.
Tough start for this little one. She came through the soil with the seed unopened.
I waited a few days wetting it and giving it time to open to no avail. Worried she would not make it, I very carefully removed the seed shell using a tweezers.
Her cotyledon leaves are a bit damaged/misformed from this but it looks like she will recover. The first true leaves are just starting to peek out from the center of the seedling.
