First time trying out Fast Buds. Got several seed packs from GotM awhile back and decided to give them a try. Originally selected Cherry Cola. Tossed my 3 beans in a shotglass of water to soak overnight then into the Rapid Rooters they go the next day. One sprouts on 2/1 and does well but the other 2 seemed to stall out mid sprout. On the 3rd I decide soak and puck 2 Gelato Autos to fill out my tent after giving up on them. They're sprouting by the 5th. I don't waste any time getting them set up in their buckets. I'll top feed a little bit until roots start showing up below. Solution is VERY diluted. The light is set about 28 inches above the plants @ 250w. Might be a touch close but it's a cold basement so they could use the warmth.
The Cherry Cola is looking nice. It's working on it's 4th node. I will be topping it very soon. I actually bumped this one up to 3ml on the base nutrients now that roots are touching the solution. Gelato #1 is a bit stretchy but looks healthy otherwise. It's been a little slower in showing roots. Gelato #2 is shorter at 3 inches but it's showing roots already and nodes aren't as stretched. The Gelatos are still running at the listed nutrient ratios. I didn't really want to lower the light closer so I went ahead and bumped up to 400w. I'm still running the light pretty high up even for that wattage, so we'll see how it goes.
All roots are showing and everything has been moved to a mild veg ratio. Cherry Cola is going strong. Topped it a couple days ago. I moved the Gelatos to the corners of the tent until their veg growth picks up more. I don't wanna overdo it with the light on them.
Everything is going well. All plants have been topped and plants are adjusting OK. Gelato#1 continues to keep stretching vertically even after topping. It's even taller than the Cherry Cola lol. Haven't had to add anything to the rezes yet. Just monitoring for now mostly.
Topped off with a general mix. 2.5ml of each of the base nutes. Cherry Cola is starting to show its preflowers. I've bent Gelato #1 over to combat its stretching and even out the branches some.
Tossed the net up. My intention isn't really a true SCROG, I just wanna spread the interiors open a little bit. After that I'll let them go vertical again. Cherry Cola is transitioning to flower, the Gelatos should follow soon. Topping off with an even "transition mix" of nutrients. Not much else to report.
Another week on the books. Topping off at my "transition" ratios still. I'll probably bump the light up to 100% in a week or so. Might give the under canopy a little tidy up while I'm at it.
Gave the girls a light defol and skirt. Kicked the lamp up to 600w and moved it up a little bit for some stretch space. They probably only have another week or two of stretch and then I can dial in the light a bit. Still providing the transition 5/5/5 on my base nutes along with Calmag, BloomBooster and Hydroguard until the stretch finishes for my topoffs. I'm not gonna reenter all that stuff every week, Ill just do it when making changes. PH and EC lvls have been holding steady so they're feeding well enough. My siphon pump broke but once the replacement arrives I'll get around to doing some rez changes.
Gelato #1 was the stretchier one. I've had to train it a bit more SCROG style to keep it at the height of the others. It takes up almost half the tent lol.
Gave the tanks a change and switched to flowering ratios. Might be a little early but it should be OK. Gave a light defol too. Plants are short but stacked nicely.
Plants progressing well. Picked out a few more leaves here and there. Cherry Cola is slowing down on it's feeding so it's probably done stretching. Topped it off with water only to bring the EC back down (3.3 lol) down to about 2.2. The Gelatos are still hungry though and got full feed.
