Still observing moderate-advanced nitrogen (?) deficiency on the PK, and less noticably on the WW, Possibly phosphorous deficiency as well on the PK. Ongoing from late veg/early flower. Finally observing significant trichome production on both strains.

Older/lower leaves yellowing and wilting. Assuming N deficiency? Present from late veg/early flower but not accelerating or slowing down. Also observing small black/brown spots near veins on the same yellow leaves. Assuming P deficiency? Present recently, treated with Mammoth P.

I wouldn't think it would be a P def as those usually splotchy and not really spotty. It might be more along the lines of a light K def mixed with an N def as they both cause yellowing and K causes brown spotting like that. I would check your soil PH. Water till runoff when you do a normal feeding. Catch the runoff and test its ph and compare it to the ph of the water going in. If its the same as what went in you are golden and probably just need to up your nutes or feed more often. If it is significantly higher or lower than what went in(say +/- 0.5) You may have a ph issue in the soil(built up salts is the usual cause) and need to flush it. When I flush I do so until the ph in my runoff is within +/- 0.1 of my input. Once flushed you should feed with a full dose of nutrients because you will have likely pulled out any synthetic nutes that were in the soil.

I totally hear ya about the PK (Purple Kush) I found it to have hardly any smell. I was concerned about the trichome production too- compared to the White Widow beside it. My White Widow looks like some one poured a bag a sugar all over - there so insanely frosty. I also noticed the flowering period is a lot longer than advertised on the package from CropKing. I’m going in to week 11 and could go another week-ish. But I’m leaving on vacation and they have to come down. The purple colours came out late in bloom about week 5/6.

@ArcticGrowGuy, you were totally right about the purple coming out late. Spent 10 minutes looking all over and finally found a couple purple calyces on a single bud, around 42F. Thanks for the heads-up about the long flowering cycle. My WW are approaching harvest quite rapidly while the PK clearly need a month if not longer at this point (which would put them right around 11-12 weeks). Should give them plenty of time to show their purple.

@ArcticGrowGuy, glad to hear I'm not alone in my impressions of the PK. I found that in my last cycle, WW was done flowering by about 9 weeks and Green Crack by about 11. I'll keep a close eye on the PK around then. I'm going to keep tabs on your diaries too for comparison, it's nice to find someone growing the same strains!

Some really frosty buds you got there. Great work. Keep doing what your doing and beat of luck with the rest of the grow.
