They had produced large tap roots by the second day being kept at 25c in the day and around 20c at night.
Paper towel was used with RO water then into a bag in a box kept dark at all times.
Days 1 through 3 had the light out putting 100~ PPFD level 1 on the light. Then from day 4 to 7 the light was set to level 2 giving 211 PPFD at 1m from the LED.
Forgot to pre soak the medium so had to water the seedlings in on day 1; this watering went wrong for plant 2 and 1, they both moved in the medium the water causing them to float due to adding too much too quickly. Plant 1 seemed to bounce back without much issue, Plant 2 was defiantly stunted.
Ecothrive Biosys was top dress on day 2 and sprayed into the medium the spray bottle was mistakenly PHd incorrectly as the PH down used was too old and didn't mix in properly and dropped to the bottom of the bottle. When sprayed on the plants this was obvious as the colour of the water was far darker than it should have been. So a new PH down was bought and it was then re mixed and sprayed in again to try and move the water away from the young roots.
Days 3-4 were sprayed in with plain RO water PH'd to 6.
Day 4 the lights power was increased as plants 1 and 3 seemed happy and capable of handling a light increase. Day 4 the extract fan was flighting with the humidifier as the max humidity settings were slightly incorrect for the first half of lights on the VPD was 0.9kPa, temps around 22c~ and RH around 67%~. Once the extraction fan settings were changed VPD went back to 0.82kPa temps will around 22c~ and RH around 69%~.
Day 5 was plain RO water sprayed PH'd to 6. VPD was constantly 0.8kPa.
Day 6 was the first day with a low level of feed as the coco wasn't buffered with cal/mag I didn't want to run into a nutrient issue as the seedlings were getting older. Water was PH 5.93, PPM 251, EC 0.3mS (353µS). The VPD target was changed to reflect the age of the plants, 0.9 kPa was the new range keeping temps around 22c~ this meant the humidity was lowered to 66%~ from 69%~.
Day 7 PH had risen to 6.2 in the water over night still used it to spray soil as it isn't too high. Feed was the same as day 6. VPD has been maintaining 0.9 kPa. RH 66%~, Temps 22c~. Took a PPFD reading and it was lower than my previous so I must have been using the wrong numbers meaning the light levels have been lower than intended 211 PPFD at 1m from the light I will turn the light levels up on day 8 and 9 as I want them closer to 400-500 PPFD. Plant 2 may be killed off and just continue to run Plants 1 and 3 as it clearly isn't managing to pull through and looks like it may die on its own anyway.
The week has only just started so this will continue to be updated as it goes.
Day 8 saw the light increase being put up to setting 3 and a feed of 1L per plant mixed at 5.88 PH, 0.5 EC (559 uS), 396 PPM. This was a slightly lower feed than initially intended was aiming for closer to 0.8-1.2EC but I miss read the feed chart and fed lower than intended.
Day 9 light level were increased again this time to setting 4 now putting out a 345.1 PPFD, this is lower than my goal of 500 PPFD so the light will be increased again on day 10. Aiming to end the week around 600 PPFD. The plant growth is much slower than I was expecting this is why I am trying to pump some more light and was intending to feed more, no feed or water was given today as the coco was still moist and don't want to over water, at the next watering the feed will also be increased to a higher EC to try and increase plant growth rate.
