Took the clones about a week ago. This pheno takes at least 7 days to pop any roots even in an aeroponic cloner. Still, its worth the wait. This run will be just one plant in scrog utilizing a light mover for the first time. I want to see how far I can stretch one plant and still get good results with a single light moving over a large canopy.
Starting to come alive again, one clone will be the new mother, the current mother is about a year old and getting hard to manage. The third clone playing backup.
Chose the most developed clone from the 3 pictured in the cloning stage (or as Grow Diaries calls it "germination stage"). The other went in the mother unit. The mom unit is a low maintenance LPA/DWC bucket. Low lighting.
I'm always changing timings to figure out what's best for the given stage of root development. Cloning generally requires heavy misting, real wet. Then back it off once they start rooting.
here is a general idea of my timings:
Rooting - ~3 seconds on / 4 mins 20 seconds off
Rooted now - 2 seconds on/ 3 minutes off. ~105psi - EC 1.4
PPFD ~500
topped them already and setup a net. Trying to keep her low and wide.
I had a power outage at some stage, after they already had roots. She didn't care at all, although I did spray the roots a few times manually, which I'm sure helped. Aeroponics has a way of healing roots very fast.
Started off week 2 pretty solid, snapped 2 out of 4 main branches accidentally while training👍. Took a few days, but they are about ready for more beating. Roots a bit wet in some parts and good on others. Changing timings and spray angles, we'll see how week 3 turns out.
