If someone could tell me why it had a slight deformation that it would be great. To wet? Maybe I planted it too shallow because I was overthinking camera shots? It would have been fine to plant normally in the soil, oh well next time. Ph was stable, soil is not normal sorta of a compost coco core/chunk, with worm castings.
I forgot to setup the cam for week two after adjusting the height. Oh well maybe next week. Ghetto lights again, full spectrum with some FL. LED has a 2400RPM fan on a 5LBs heat-sink it gets hot AF like 400 watts all lights from the wall.
Three Types of White Light-emitting Diodes on same grow warm, neutral, and cool, with 11%, 19%, and 28% blue light, respectively. Overall, the low blue light from warm white LEDs increased stem elongation and leaf expansion, whereas the high blue light from cool white LEDs resulted in more compact plants. Initial growth under cool white LEDs should promote the growth of short, sturdy hypocotyls. Subsequent transition to warm white LEDs should promote leaf expansion. Finally, after canopy closure, cool white LEDs should be used again to prevent excessive stem elongation. These effects could also be obtained by modulating the electrical current to red and blue monochromatic LEDs, achieving different blue ratios without the requirement for two sets of LEDs. Cool white LEDs may be the light source of choice because their high percentage of blue light (25%) means that they can meet the blue light requirements for normal development, even at low PPFs. Furthermore, measurements indicate that cool white LEDs are more electrically efficient than the neutral and warm white LEDs. The efficiency of LEDs is rapidly increasing and is approaching the efficiency of HPS lamps.
Look at the video Weds was an explosion of growth. I tried a higher ambient temp on Thursday to dry out the medium and see how she would respond growth seamed to slow so it's back to 70F mornings slowly bring it up to 78F-80F for mid day. Watering every 48 hours early morning when light comes on or right before, Friday was flush 20% nutes 2 gals. LST seamed to slow growth too so I just let it do its own natural thing.
Moved to a 1000watt HPS, added 350 CFM exhaust fan, lights on at 4am- 10pm, air temp peeks at 3-4pm near 78-80F, Leaf surface temp 80-85, took plant about 23 hours after light switch to adjust (slowed growth seen in time lapse) everything is back to normal now the stretch is real. Smell is strong (no carbon filter) and I can smell it from the exhaust outside. Never used an HPS only LEDs.
Might be experiencing some nute lockout I'll dial back the nutes even more to flush, flush, feed. Watering daily, the medium drys out almost completely every 26hrs and then she wilts. Lots of air flow in this setup with a fiber pot so just trying to keep it wet really. 1000w HPS is amazing in this small of space I could get 2 or three plants in here next time.
Finally found a balanced Nute mix 3-4 ml cal-mag 3-4 ml floranova bloom. The smell outside is wonderful where the vent exhausts. old leafs are being used up for energy, as the buds fatten looks normal for this plant. Whole this is top heavy now when it comes time to water the 3gal pot hardly keeps it upright. This is a 20% soil mostly coco mix so watering daily 1-2 times with 1.25gal.
Still getting much larger, very wide now. I cut back to 50% nutes every other watering and watering half as much. I also brought up the humidity from lows in the 27% to lows in the 40%. Switched light to be on at night to control temp more with out running A/C as it got hot here sooner than normal. I took a few lower colas off quite a large amout dried it in a vacuum pump freeze dryer for 6 hours and have been vaping it all week, high is sleepy, comfortable laziness, night time based I would say after work getting ready to sleep. Trichomes under 60X look 70% milky, 30% clear, not fattened weeks more+ for amber color
Boring week for pics really, just watching the trichomes under a magnifying glass. It is still growing, new white pistils show up every day. Plant got so heavy it fell over so now I have to tie it up.
Seeing 3-4 amber trichomes in 30 min of random microscope searching. Purple colors are starting to show up I want to give it more time to see if they develop more. Mostly watering with 25% nutes, one time this week I did a 75% nute like 2.6ml/gal. yellowing due to deficiency started heavy but it has enough fan leafs to pull stored nutes from so it's fine.
Flushing medium for taste/aromma took like 5 gals of 6.4ph RO to get below 200 PPM. Smell is like a cheese/fruit. Switched lights back to some flowering lights with much more blue/UV for last few days, I read that can be beneficial. Lights are now 390watts FL + 450w white leds LEDs
Just give Northern Lights Auto lots of light right away and don't train it seams to slow it down and with a limited grow window you want it to grow as fast as possible. I took 2 oz off last few weeks to test it out but didn't take pics of that so that is where the extra not showed came from. Drying was done in the grow tent for 3 days at 50-60% RH then I copped off the stems really short and put it on a cardboard box for 24hrs @ 70% RH, back to hanging for 3 more days after that and finally a dry trim and into the jars @ 63% HR. I'll open them for a few mins every day till I'm sure they won't mold. I'm in to microdosing so this is like 2 years supply for me I'll either give most of this away or try to store it long term. I just ordered more seeds from GYO.green, I'm hooked I can't wait to grow some more .
Next grow I'll tackle lowering temps with such a large light in such a small space. I need to track my nute schedule that was my main failing this grow I forgot what days where flush days (every third day) and accidentally skipped most of them. Learning quick how to grow I want to focus on taste & smell next.
@Mr_Weeds_Autos, Ya I was surprised at the yield but I did use a huge 1k HPS light on it at the end. I had to make a late night jar run and found 1 gal. jars at the dollar store I was able to fill two of those.
@Fruitgrower, The time lapse showed me that you can't make up for slowed growth with auto flowers, any slow down in veg is really bad and you can't make it up later because your on a limited timer. I'm not completely convinced that any type of LST is a good idea for beginners like me with an auto. I have a huge adoration for some of these Hydro Mainline grows.
Amazing growth rate congrats. I will be doing my first autoflower grow soon and we use the same nutes so I will be following along. I will be growing girlscout cookies extreme by ILGM Autoflower. Happy growing😊
@Homegrown420, Oh that's cool Dude. As I'm sure you read on the bottle make sure to mix this stuff well like a good 30sec shake it's got solids in it that need to be in your mix. I'm using RO so I up the cal-mag to 3-4ml/gal from the recommended 2.5mlper gal. I hope all goes well for your grow. I have had girlscout cookies before smelled good like fruit loops.
@@ShotGunBob, My friends are calling it the Johnny #5. It did very well for the veg phase I will be using it again as it cost nearly nothing to make, It was all just stuff I had laying around.
Nice job!👋
Yours got a lot bigger than mine, but I kinda think I caused it by FIMing her. It's a very cheesy strain with a long-lasting mellow buzz. Enjoy!
Looks great bro ... Growing the same strain from the same breeder im in week 11or so now whatever you don't stop giving cal-mag it will make her deficient.
