Mike_Dank Last update before the chop. Its been 72 days since sprout and heads are cloudy with a few amber, will likely give them a few more days for more amber. Couple of thoughts. My first time growing autos and Im really impressed with how fast they mature. Ive used barely any nutes yet the buds are fat like grenades and firm! Next round I will be putting sprouts directly into final pots to hopefully save a week of grow time.

Either you got very poor genetics ,or you are running your lights to long autos need rest I run mine 16 on 8 off at 3 weeks your plant should be well into it's growth spurt good luck snoleperd

@Snoleperd, wrong. As autoflowering plants do not rely on hours of light to tell them when to flower, they can be subjected to a 24- hours of light throughout their growth cycle. In fact, many growers believe 24 hours of light is crucial when growing autoflowering plants, as it may give them the best chance to grow bigger in the vegetative stage and then eventually flower accordingly. Cannabis is classed as a C3 plant, meaning it can absorb CO₂ during periods of light for photosynthesis. This theoretically eliminates the need for darkness, as they do not need periods of dark to photosynthesis, unlike C4 plants. Autoflowering plants have also evolved in the northern areas of the world where they receive near to 24-hours of light as standard during the seasons of growth. As such, it is safe to say that autoflowering cannabis can thrive under 24-hours of lighting.

@Snoleperd,the slower growth probably has more to do with my lighting. Im only using a 200w sunblaster cfl. Going to add a 600w hps sodium this week.

@Mike_Dank,I'm not so sure , I have grown 24 hrs light and they were not as big as ones I did with 6 hrs of darkness , I know you may be correct , it's just in my real world situation it was different , they did finish quicker , but were not as big .

@Mike_Dank, i disagree, running any plant 24 7 is unatual, all plants need a period of darkness and rest, yea you can do it but you are stressing your plants unnecessarily, and i did an experiment ran 1 plant the normal way and 1 plant 24 7 all i got was a bigger light bill, in fact the plant i ran 24 7 gave less yield, but thats ok you paid for your beans and can run them how you see fit, it is just my opinion. Good luck.
the end.
