Old_school_grower_dude Day 2; 48 hrs the Blackberry Moonrocks seed's root was long enough to go into soil today. I use Happy Frog soil for seedlings. The soil cup will stay on the heat mat insuring the temp is kept at 75°F. Day1; 24 hrs and the Blackberry Moonrocks has a visible tap root. I'll wait a little longer before putting it in soil. I like to see the root about a quarter inch before planting. Day 0; germination, paper towel method.

Old_school_grower_dude Week 2, day 8. Very happy with progress. I start seedlings in Happy Frog soil. In 16 oz clear cups, the clear cup inside a solid cup. That way i can pull out the clear cup to check for roots and still have the roots protected from light. I am only doing 15hrs light because these will be transplant outdoors. Any more light and they will start to flower as soon as i move them outside.

Old_school_grower_dude Day 15 it's doing well. Tight node spacing. I use 6500 color temp LEDs during seedling stage. They have very little red in the spectrum. I believe that keep the node spacing very tight. No stretch due to little red. They will be going outside in May, so they will get plenty of natural light then.

Old_school_grower_dude My Blackberry Moonrocks seedling is the third largest of the 4 strains. It's doing great. 5 nodes so far with tight spacing. I won't top until 7th node. I will also trim the bottom 2 nodes off completely when I transplant outside. I have never had them develop well in an outdoor grow.

Old_school_grower_dude Day 29, first day of week 4. My Blackberry Moonrocks is the third largest. About 7 nodes now. I will soon trim the bottom two nodes (branches). For an outdoor grow I just feel it's best. Than often don't develop well and a too close to the ground. During heavy rain they get covered in mud (I use weed block fabric now, so mud splash is not a big problem anymore, and it helps with any bugs getting into our out of the soil). I will also be topping soon. I top at 7 nodes, later than a lot of people, but since I trim the bottom 2 nodes it's basically at 5 nodes. I will likely have to transplant to large bags soon, already seeing some roots out of the 1 gallon nursery bags. I will post an update to this week after the transplant.

Old_school_grower_dude My Blackberry Moonrocks girl has jumped up and is now the second largest of my 4 strains. She is now about 12 inches. I have trimmed the bottom two nodes off, but have not topped her yet. She got moved from 1 gallon bag to a 3 gal bag, and moved from a 2x2 tent to a 2x4 tent.

Old_school_grower_dude My Blackberry Moonrocks girl is the second tallest of my 4 strains. She got topped last week and transplanted from a 1 gallon to 3 gallon bag. I think there is always a little transplant shock and some shock from being topped. But she still put on about 2 inches. The weather has been very nice, and may consider moving the girls outdoors sooner than normal.

Old_school_grower_dude My Blackberry Moonrocks girl is the second tallest of my 4 strains. She put on another 4 inches this week. I started LST and trimmed most of the fan leaves off the main trunk. Their going to have to go outside soon, my little 2x4 tent is running out of space.

Old_school_grower_dude The girls are all outside and transplanted into their permanent 200gal growbags, and have their cages around them. They were topped a few weeks ago and I have been doing LST on them since early on. My goal is to have them as wide as they are tall. I have started feeding nutrients by Jack's Nutrients.

Old_school_grower_dude My Blackberry Moonrocks is doing well outdoors. I continue to do Low Stress Training LTS. So she is not getting much taller. But is wider than she is tall. We have had a lot of rain lately, so I have not been able to water with nutrients much. One of the drawbacks of growing outdoors.

Old_school_grower_dude My Blackberry Moonrocks girl is looking good. I put Trellis netting up this week. They will need the extra support this fall. She is the second largest of the Strains I am running.

Good luck with your grows! I don't know this breeder, so I'll be curious to see how it goes for you.💚
