capsicum The last week of the vegetative phase is over. The flowering is now being initiated because the plant has reached the edge of the grow box on all four sides. During the day, it stood on the sunny south side outside, and the still occupied good LED panel will be replaced. Starting next week, just in time for flowering, the big Marshydro will be available because the chilies are finally moving to the garden. Meanwhile, four more side shoots are already coming up from below the leaf canopy, whose crown has been slightly thinned out for the first time. Now, for the first time, it has been fertilized with "Compo Grow Wachstum" according to the manufacturer's instructions to also provide nutrients for the stretch as the flowering phase begins. So far, the Linda "Northern Light" is growing exactly as it should. Beautiful broad leaves and a compact growth.

capsicum As soon as there was less light, the stretch started. Along with the massive growth in all directions, I also defoliated for the first time to get more air inside. Slight yellow tips indicate a problem with the pH level. As long as it remains a small issue, I won't do anything about it. A maximum yield isn't that important to me.

capsicum It's still stretching. The space in the tent is extremely limited. Now I've pulled the branches down, but it doesn't help much anymore. By the end of this week, the fertilizer will also be switched to flowering.

capsicum The stretch has slowed down, but the leaves and buds have now reached the light. So I took off the flower wires again and instead pushed a SCROG net in from the top to lower all the shoots at once.

capsicum The SCROG net didn't keep the buds down for long. At the same time, a lot of popcorn buds shot up from below. Another radical haircut to maintain ventilation was necessary. To combat the brown leaf tips, I've now reduced the nutrients. The bloom fertilizer is only included every third watering.

capsicum The tent and the pot are too tight. You learn something new every time.

capsicum The end is near. The beauty is already wilting and getting crispy from the way too close light. The last few days have also properly decolorized the trichomes. So this week the axe is coming.

capsicum Harvest, dry, cure 210g wet turned into 35g dry. That's where the nutrient deficiency and the growth into the light at the end come back to haunt you.
