Purple Punch Auto & Mexican Rush Auto - RQS

Spencimelia 22/04 Late diary entry so will be doing the first 2 weeks... The Purple punch auto got squished! Under a kids toy ball... My kids ... My fault, no harm done other than a couple of (extra) grey hairs on my chin. I propped her up with a stick for 3-4 days until I knew she could support herself. No pics of the incident as I was quik to save a life Mexican Rush Auto breaks surface 2 days after with amazing speed hungry for photons, she is in a much smaller pot with the John Innes compost Not much else to say. Going to train these both to maximize rent usage, comments hints and tips welcome as always.

Spencimelia 22/04 She bounced back! Within no time the stick was removed and she stood tall, but with a very skinny stem still. I decided to do some early training by center holding them down using two bits of soft rubber garden wire for each plant, by the morning they had already turned upright and ready to carry on growing, The high nutrient based Biobizz soil and the damage delay, plus some training, the purple punch is doing amazing for 2weeks in. Mexican rush Auto also shot up with a stretch and I don't think that's the lack of light just natural. So I tied her down too, possibly a bit early, excitement feels the air Oh! And a late happy Easter 420 to everyone!

Spencimelia 01/05 It's been a strange one with timing my diary entries and had a couple of small issues with the green lady's, but! The purple punch auto by RQS is taking the Biobizz all mix soil very well and I ended up topping her just a few days ago I wasnt here to tend to them for 3 days and when I got back I see some nice growth I have now trimmed a couple of the large fan leaves off so I have space to gently hold down a couple branches. The Mexican rush auto is only a few days younger and the difference is massive, obviously a lot of variables, no nutrients yet for either just plain tap water 04/05 Added a couple of pics - she's growing quik And showing signs of pre-flower with the odd white pistil Have just been feeding tap water with a lowered pH using growth technology pH down To around 5.8 - Purple punch auto only Tap water with 0.5/ltr Cal-Mag amino for the Mexican rush auto, growth has been majorly hindered, but il carry it on anyway

Spencimelia 13/05 - Day 33 Not too much to say, I'm happy the Mexican Rush has bounced back a bit, will be small still, but better than I was expecting. After some deficiency issues, given both plants Cal-mag Amino but a higher dose for the lil mis Mexican as she had/has the issue Purple Punch Auto is still doing well with the full on Biobizz soil, has been topped and sides branchs low stress training and every time I cut a few leafs off thinking I got another week... No Two days later if not 24 hrs she looks bushy again lol The lST I could have done it more efficiently, but this is a first for me Keep'n it green 🏻

Spencimelia Just plain tap water and some more defoliation not too much, but just enough. Love the smell of the Mexican Rush and it's shot up above the other girl, but then she is sativa dominant can't really smell the purple but looks cool

Spencimelia 07/06 Purple punch auto - 44cm Nutrients are now being used up from some of the leaves. There are some slight tip burns from possible excess nutrients as I'm trying to balance out what was already in the soil ( no idea as it was an all mix so fairly heavy to start) And how much she's used to what she now needs. Didn't have the best start as a ball landed on the plant during week 1/2 I had to prop her up for a few days and she has also been topped since early stages and had her branches tied down for a few weeks. Doing ok considering. I thought PK to help the bloom but I'm wondering if she needs a gentle top up of nitrogen and iron...? Less of a sweet smell and more of subtle cheese/skunk/woody, but then again my nose isn't the best. Mexican Rush Auto - 56cm Couple of days behind Purple P and started with deficiencies, has now caught up well. Very light stress training at the start helped bring the center cola in height with the side branches. She's looking good and smells awesome Pine/woody, slightly sweet I have to keep them in each corner as they overlap too much when side by side. Any thoughts or opinions on trimming/defoliation ideas with these two are more than welcome I'm a bit lost as to how much to take? I would just take the ones shadowing the heads underneath. Spencimelia 09/05 Last week was entered late this weeks a little early so not much difference and not much to say... Patience with this I need hmm. Day 60 Purple punch auto is only 44cm compared to the Mexican rush auto which is 58cm and about 3/4 days younger. Have lightly fed with Royal Queen Seeds organic flowering booster trio and bringing the pH down slightly using phosphoric acid. pH run off was between 6 - 6.5 Next watering will be plain water with a reduced pH of 5.8. Who knows,,, who knows, who knows, who knows (8) and I'm pleased to be chilling inda west endsie lol

Spencimelia 15/06 Looking good, can't say either have a very strong smell, but the Mexican Rush auto is so definitely my favourite for aroma. I had both plants out in the sun for a good few hours FREEEEEDOM XD I put some ties on the MRAs 4 main branches, gently pulling them down and out a bit, this will help with light and airflow. She's looking frosty with sugar leaves. The Purple Punch auto looks ok, hoping she will fatten up some more. There are a good few points which I should have trimmed off the bottom of the plants stems which would have helped with directing energy to the main cola sites... Again lessons being learnt That's pretty much it for now, will update in a couple days if anything major changes.. Oh and the net you myt have seen in the back was brought as a late edition for next time, incase anyone wondered why i didn't use it peace

Spencimelia 23/06 - Day 72/74 Have been leaving the leaving the Purple punch auto to mature nicely even though I really want to chop her down, but I have noticed some gentle fattening so I'll have some patience, Can smell skunky aromas with some slight candy notes. It's not outrageously stinky which is fine by me as I can then leave the tent door fully open to allow quick cooler circulation. it has been very hot the last week. Trichomes are certainly becoming milky and pistils amber, so another week I think, any thoughts ? Mexican Rush Auto... Well it's very leafy lol again I do love the citrus, pine like scent of this one. Heavily coated sticky sugar leaves which I will have make use of. Have defoliated a good handful of fan leaves and unnecessary foliage. Definitely a thirsty one, but I have laid off any feeding other than some Cal-mag. Edit: 26/06 this will be the last week for purple punch auto. Thanks to the anyone who replied to my questions, I've always done my own research and had a good idea but I enjoy reading about the communities conclusions and knowledge. I'm getting slightly better using my camera to get closer shots, added pics at the end, but really want a attachable macro lens, anyways Happy growing B)

Spencimelia 02/06 Not a huge amount to comment about really, it's been very hot so bit of heat stress has caused some bud growth to foxtail Happy I waited longer for the purple punch auto though, it colas have definitely become denser, but I'm at this point it feels useless checking how many pistols have turned amber as I'm sure I'm seeing new ones pop up as she gives way to thicker buds. Smells great, punchy skunky aromas mmmmm Both have been fed with just plain tap water, will give the Mexican some more Cal-mag on the next water as I can see spots popping up the leaves, she definitely loves a bit of Cal-mag as every time I use I don't see any blemishes The Mexican rush Auto is starting to chunkify Pistols are turning amber, but still need to get a jeweler's loup or macro cam to check the Trichomes properly. Will be keeping her going for another couple weeks at the least.

Spencimelia 09/07 - DAY 90 ! 87 (Mexican) Not much difference in age, but she looks like she could easily go another week. Purple punch auto... Well I think I've let her go as long as I can without degrading the Trichomes too much for my preference. Was going to be last week but she fattened up nicely, just wish I would have chopped a few more stems off during veg! Woulda coulda shoulda lol Il wait till the end of the day to see if anyone has any suggestions. Then that's it, Harvest time. Mexican rush auto - I trimmed a small tub of sugar leaves off and placed in the freezer so when I trim more I will add to the rest and turn it into so something gorgeous, hopefully haha, will need another week maybe, so need to find another location to hang the purple up. Would like them to be done together but that's wishful thinking, not far off though. Apologies for the amature pics I would like to run these again almost exactly the same, except I would like to see how each strain copes in the others soil. Purple punch auto - Biobizz All Mix Very little organic nutrients added throughout. P.h has been Fairly easy to keep in check. Mexican rush auto - John Inns Has needed a lot of Cal-mag and closer attention to P.h.

Spencimelia 17/07 - Mexican Rush Auto She's still going... I'm really having trouble with this one. Feels like it's ready, but looks like she can go on for longer and just looks too good tchop haha Very oily/sticky trichomes and leafy, I have tried to defiolate but bright green calyxes look like she very much alive. Smells like new polished car smell yet also been has a citrus aroma. Can't wait to see what it smokes like. Purple punch Auto has been Chopped for a few days now, will do a harvest update in next couple of days. I'm happy with it but again there's always room for improvement

Spencimelia 20/07 Purple punch auto by Royal Queen Seeds 😎 She definitely gets you feeling relaxed with a cool soothing vibe. Still curing to bring out the aroma and taste a bit more. Possibly air dried too quickly and it has been really hot the last couple of weeks. Not tried many seed banks but Royal Queen Seeds are a solid reputable company with many strains and this one was cool to grow. Happy growing people! 🌱🌿🌲 First time topping, training as I did and I'm happy with the results and learnt a load more so all good
