RheinWeedQueen The queen is dead, long live the queen.
Well, in that case the queen will become a hermaphrodite.
As I wrote in the grow report of the last French macaron “Amelie”, I liked the strain so much that I absolutely have to carry out an experiment to produce my own seeds.
No sooner said than done:
No sooner have I harvested Amelie than the next plant is already in the tent.
I named this one Orlando, this time after the character in Virginia Wolf's novel of the same name, Orlando.
Anyone who has read the book should know why I chose this name.
To prepare it for the 40 tent, I let it grow for a while from a cutting into a small plant.
Today it was placed in an 11L pot with Biobizz Light Mix soil and at the same time trained a little using LST.
The plan is to let it grow for another 3-4 weeks, then send it into flower and spray half the plant with colloidal silver so it can self-pollinate and hopefully produce some usable seeds.
As I said, it's an experiment and I'm very curious to see if it works.
We'll see...

RheinWeedQueen It's time to say goodbye to Orlando again.
After I was in hospital for a while, things were a bit quiet around my plants.
That's why I'm catching up on the weeks now, even though I don't have any photos for that time.
Shortly before my absence, I gave Orlando a little LST, which it tolerated very well.
The shoots are now all nicely arranged on one surface and also sufficient for what I still have planned.
Orlando looks healthy, there are no recognisable defects.
As it was only repotted last week, no fertiliser was necessary this week, so PH-adjusted water was sufficient.

RheinWeedQueen Today an update from Orlando the French Macaron, who is to become my sperm donor.
Orlando has grown well and has now developed sufficiently so that I plan to change the lighting to 12/12 next week.
I have therefore marked 2 branches, which I will now spray twice a day with coloidal silver.
I will now repeat this daily until Orlando has formed pollen sacs on the two branches.
As always, I fertilise with the Biobizz fertiliser scheme, using Fishmix instead of Bio Grow during the growth phase.
So far I have always done very well with it.
I have also treated the branches a little with LST to spread them out a little and achieve a better distribution of the branches and leaf mass and improve the aeration.
