1389Sr Hello everybody, welcome. I consider this to be a test grow as it is my first, and while I will try to produce the best possible buds I will mainly be studying the plant and seeing how different conditions make her act. So far it's looking good and healthy, although growth doesn't seem maximized compared to some of the photos I've seen online, At 7 days old I slightly increased the light intensity and am lowering the watering level and increasing the frequency as I planted them directly into the final pots. See you next week, happy growing!

If you want the best buds then you need organic nutrition.I guess the canna is man made mineral.Ifn it doesnt state its organic like the bio rhiz then it most likely isnt. You're best off sticking to one or the other.Iv gone full organic after a number of decades growing.I see someone mentioned PH but PH isnt really an issue with organics. As long as its half decent water and you have a good soil food web/microbes then its not an issue. The microbes make the oragnic food available to the plants but the salt based man made nutriants are taken up by the plant directly so need to be in a certain ph range to be available. The coco is almost sterile and has very few microbes so compost tea would help no end. to add microbes. The coco looks a little dry.You need to keep it on the damp side for the first few wks with seedlings but don't water the whole pot to start with but make sure its enough to reach the bottom as the tap root will be there in several days.1ltr every few days.It looks fine for wk2.Youb can put that on full feed now but I give mine a half dose for the first week. They'll do amazing on very little but a little too much creates all sorts of issues.Less is definatly more when it comes to nutrition.KISS.Keep It Simple Stupid.Keep your temps up 24c is best, below 20c will see slowwer growth. It looks fine.

@oldskoolkool, Yes, KISS. No, there is zero correlation between the "best buds" and "organic nutrition." This is pure opinion, in furtherence of a subjective marker "best". pH matters in organic and non-organic nutrition, there is nothing else to say here. Absorption charts don't magically flip on their head because of organic/non-organic......... Indeed most coco is sold sterile. This does not have any implications for once removed from package.... If it did, we'd be using coco to pack wounds....... Temp guidance is generally within acceptable parameters. I'd argue against anchoring the feed amounts to a L or the vendor recommendations.

Watch the info on here as so much of it is bad.You have a number of people with very little experience giving bad advice, and they sound full on legit so double check everything, mine included.1 size does not always fit all.Coco is not the same as soil, orgnaic is not the same as mineral and HID lamps are not the same as LEDs.Them guy that said PH doesnt matter in soil is wrong.Like I said mineral needs to be at the correct ph whatever its in but organic doesnt. It doesnt matter what the substrate is,its the nutrition, organic or mineral.

@oldskoolkool, @1389Sr, Indeed, you will find all walks of cannabis growers on here. Some of us are technically-inclined, science-driven, and data-centric. Some of us are growers whose idea of top shelf is some cheese bud from 1990 that would hardly pass for mids today. Some of us are outdoor growers who toss beans in a field, some of us are old timers who haven't ever grown a dense nug, and on and on. The good thing is that it is going to be really easy to see who is who. Like for example, " and HID lamps are not the same as LEDs." This is true but only as a moot point. HID lamps are inefficient, hot as a result, and have limited spectrums and static spectrums. Meaning to do a grow properly you are wasting tons of energy, giving off tons of heat, and will need to swap bulbs....oh and you prolly won't even have any UV or red, which science has spoken on already. LEDs are categorically better. Magnitudes more efficient, non-static spectrums, and a single fixture for any plant/any phase. This is just one example how anecdotes will lead you astray when growing.
