I'm hooked now

I have reached my second week into my new grow. I have a HPS 600w but I've set it to 250w for the next week or so. I also have 2 generic 1200w LEDs that are alongside the HPS. I have also upgraded my fan to a 6inch variable fan. I am expecting better yeilds with this grow but I'll be happy with anything, as this is quite the experiment. I am also using batmix soil which is a combination of coco and peat and various other ingredients.

It's been a busy week. The Red Dragon is growing really well, and they seem to be shooting up really quick. There's no stretch on them so I know they're getting enough light. So far the Red Dragon is definitely one of my favorite strains but I've got a lot more to get through yet lol. I have got some acoustic ducting. WARNING... Acoustic ducting has Fibre glass in it and is a MAJOR IRRITATENT to both skin and eyes and should be done in a well ventilated area with suitable protection. So, I have also switched from pure batmix to a 50/50 split with a good compost. I have done this as I'm not 100% happy with the level of water retention in the batmix, I'm finding it to be too much and I do not want to run into any issues. I would rather the soil drys out then I know exactly when to water. I have also increased the HPS to 400w (from 250w) it is very difficult to give plants too much light. I am spraying the tent whenever I can, with warm(ish) water to increase the humidity for a short while. I will be looking into fiming and LST probably next week to make sure they have a good base. I have also had to transplant the plants into another pot as the roots are growing like crazy at the moment. I also purchased a dimmer plug for the fan, as I don't need it to be on full all the time (it's a 6 inch fan with duel speed but thats far too much for what is needed now. Other than that all is good

Hello again, It's been another great week and they are growing really quickly. The photos I have taken are been taken every day so you can truly see the progress they are making. The HPS has been upped to 400w and will stay on that for the next couple of weeks. I have had to move the plants to their final pots due to the growth spurt and roots are coming out of the bottom. I have upped the feed slightly, but still slightly below the recommended dose. I will give them the recommended dose in a week's time. If they carry on with the rate of growth I'm seeing now, I will be switching to 12/12 in 3 weeks time. LST will be started on Sunday, as I wanted the plants to get more established but still flexible enough.

The heat was getting a bit much this week so I've had to turn the fan up a bit to try and combat it. Hopefully everything will be OK. SCROG net has been ordered and I'll be rearranging my tent in the coming days and also doing more LST.

Done a bit more LST and put together the SCROG net. I have readjusted my intake fan and it's keeping the temperature at a more manageable 27 degrees. The net has been there for 48 hours and the plants are doing really well. I've had to increase the watering to daily now, instead of every other day and they really are responding well. The lessons learned from the last grow have really paid off this time. Another week and I may well flip them to flowering.
