InsideAz Summer autos 2025
Trying some different seeds I’ve been researching and chose based off characteristics or lineage
Barney’s farm (2): Mimosa x Orange Punch
420 fastbuds (2): LSD-25
Sweet seeds (2): Devil Cream
420 fastbuds (1): Gorilla Cookie (free)
420 fastbuds (1): Banana Purple Punch
Week 1 (germination and week 1): 4/27/25-5/7/25
Grow room is a closet 2’x10’
Seeds germinated in soil on 4/27/25 and typically all sprouted on 5/1/25.
(3) spiderfarmer sf2000’s provide plenty of light and keep energy cost down. Very reliable and powerful lights for price.
Starting seeds at 30-40% light intensity for the first 2 weeks
7/8 success rate, one of the Devil Creams didn’t make it bc I broke the top off while searching for seeds in soil. Planted another and it has sprouted on 5/6/25 (about a week later).
Will begin to increase light intensity and monitor vpd closely over the next week (:
Week 2: 5/7-5/14
Just been watering with ph of 6-7, adjusting fans so they don’t blow directly on the plants. Devil cream #2 will be a week behind this whole grow and I don’t want to keep referencing it for documentation ease. At the end I’ll just have to remember it might go a week longer than the rest

Strain notes:
Has really done well through the last week and into this week, hoping it continues at this rate and becomes a huge auto like I’ve been seeing from other growers with this strain. Happy and healthy
General info:
Light intensity increased from 40-50% throughout week.
Only twisting the main cola gently once every few days (twist n snap) to promote growth
Water ph between 6 and 7
Temperature stays steady at about 75f but the humidity has been ranging between 40-60% throughout the day. (Lowers when I’m at work)
They should have plenty nutrients for the next couple weeks so for now we wait patiently and adjust conditions based off what they say they need.

Strain notes:
(5/21)
The end of last week I could see the potential packed in this little plant. Within the first few days this week both plants of this strain are inches taller, excited for the results towards the end of the week.
Preflower pistils are starting to show up, could be stretching already or starting the stretch this week.
General grow notes:
Light intensity gradually increased from 50%-60%
Twisting main colas every water (every other day)
Leaf tucking DAILY, sometime multiple times a day. These girls grow fast and a whole day without the proper light to a branch is inches of growth being missed. Not taking leaves off until the flower stretch is nearly done.
I’ve dialed in the humidity and airflow through the closet finally. Plants are all thriving and recovered from previous stress by either too much wind or humidity in certain spots of the closet.
First photos are of some leaf tucking performed on 5/21. Will try and update pictures of corresponding growth towards the end of the week (5/27)

The better of the two plants, strangely my #2’s always do better by coincidence. Not as big as I hoped but the location caused some stress and stunting early in the veg cycle. It’s doing better now and looks happy, hoping for some fat buds (:
General Grow notes:
All plants have officially flipped to flower and most have stopped stretching, with exception to the Devil Cream #2.
Defoliating sometime in the middle of this week, and will upload pictures for the end of the week progression.
Top dressing middle of next week and that will be the final feed for these plants.
Light intensity will be increased from 60%-65% throughout the week, I’ve seen a light burn on some leaf tips so I’m going to dial back the increase in intensity until the next week of flower

General grow notes:
Top dressing this week and this will be the last food these girls get. My typical auto grows finish 6-8 weeks into flower so this food should last about a month.
Also experimenting with different varieties of the same nutrients I’ve been using (info below). Will see how the plants react and adjust accordingly.
Light intensity increased to 70%
Top dressing was watered in with the same water I always use. Tap water dechlorinated for 24-48 hours and ph’d to 6-6.8
Top dressing: (per plant) *2 gallon pots*
1.25 tablespoon Gaia green 444
1.25 tablespoons Gaia Green 284
1 tablespoon Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate
3 tablespoons Down To Earth Kelp Meal
2 teaspoons Down To Earth Alfalfa Meal
13 ish tablespoons Wiggle Worm Pure Worm Castings

General grow notes:
Towards the end of last week some (what I think is phosphate deficiency) started to become very obvious. This makes sense because I don’t generally use a lot of phosphate towards the beginning of plant life especially not autos that I only get feed twice. (at the beginning of their life and in the middle.)
I had written down to top dress two days earlier than what I did last week and missed my mark. Could’ve saved some of these leaves, upsetting but gotta keep carrying on. Last weeks top dresssing should start being available this week (after a few watering) and I hope to see some improvement. But sometimes these purple plants slip away from me in the health/appearance category . Still learning and progressing
Light intensity increased to 78%
Typical environment is 73-78f & 45-65% Rh
It’s been getting hotter outside, upwards of 105 daily so the humidity control has been annoying but my new ac unit has kept the grow room nice and cool so far when I’m usually battling 85+ degree heat.
Time to put it to the test on the next grow, show I risk it with some photoperiods in the 5x5 after this grow? Or should I do around 2 of the current closet grow?

InsideAz Week 8: (6/16-6/25) 4th week of flower
Strain notes:
Going strong, incognito in the corner, still has airflow but is undisturbed by the airflow and humidity entering the tent
General grow notes:
Light to 80%
Water every other day approx 3/4 gallon per plant
Dechlorinated tap water ph to 6.5-6.8
Fades going on all around the tent as well. Seems to be I have an abundance of deficiencies or toxicities of the plants just want to fade as some look very developed (but still a couple weeks from maturity).
Weird thing is that these autos are developing flowers at a fast rate, and they smell delicious. I’ve always had my autos look pretty beat up by the middle-end of their lifecycle. While my photoperiods thrive with the same nutrient for many weeks longer during the flower stages. (Nutrients are obviously different amounts per pot size). That’s a long way of saying I’m not worried and I have some different ideas to try for my next batch of these autos.

Strain notes: Huge buds on this girl, she’ll probably be chopped down early next week
General grow notes:
Light at 80-85%
Temp & Rh- varies between 70-80f and 40-60 rh
Tap water dechlorinated for 24-48 hrs and phd to 6.5-6.8
I have plans of switched my ph down next grow to Citric acid
The color change and aroma production is in full effect this week. Most plants are getting close to my idea of maturity and have nearly 100% cloudy trichomes, will be surprised if half of them make it through the next week before being chopped.

(Previous week photos)
Strain notes:
Cut down 7/15 after nearly 60 hours of darkness
General grow notes:
This week the closet is looking empty, plants are in various stages of the drying process as I take them out one by one based on trichomes maturity.
Each plant will spend 2 days in darkness with same environment conditions as the grow closer (once they reach maturity) and then will be chopped to hand and dry for hopefully 5-10 days. Extra focus on keeping temperatures down (ideally below 72) and humidity between 40-55.
Next Harvest updates will be harvested photos after 5+ weeks of curing. When they are ready to test but not at their peak cure
