exceptional_chedda 5/18/25- Im moving my light from 12" at 30% to 16 inches at 45%. I will check to see if I have to tweak that in these next couple of days. I gave it its first bit of actual water yesterday besides a light spray throughout the week , and it seems to be doing well. RH around 60% at day and 50-55% at night. I believe my transport into 5 gallon autopots went fine and didn't shock them enough to change much. since I'm growing in organic super soil in 5 gallon pots, I will top dress more often but lesser amounts. I think the soil will have a hard time taking all at once.
I do have a purple stem on my Gorilla Z, I wonder if this is due to genetics or stress. we shall see!
thought the light was too hot, I moved it back to 30% at 14-16".
5/23/25- im made my light be at 40% at 16 " and got photons app, was perfect sitting mourned 500-600 ppfd, and about 38 DLI. I watered on 200 ML on this day. temp day 74-76, night 68-70. humidity 60-70%. left for th weekend, will be back in 3 days to water.

exceptional_chedda 5/27/25- (beginning of week 3)Yesterday when I got back I watered them with about 300ML, each using tap water that has been left out for 2-3 days. I rearranged the light distance a bit. I should be testing PH but I don't have the money to spend of a fancy meter right now, and its my first run so I'll see how it goes. Ive been using PH strips but that only give you estimates to whole numbers... and Im colorblind so kinda hard to read hahahahaha. I think I just ride these conditions out for a while. Im turning on the XL Autopot system maybe at the end of this week, or the next depending on growth. Im also thinking of getting Rootwise microbe complete before I turn on the system so give it a bit of a boost for nutrients uptake before she starts growing a lot, also maybe a bit of aloe vera powder to help her out and keep her healthy. also probably will get some sort of cover crop before I turn on my system top can stay moist.
PPFD- 580-600.
DLI- 38-40.
Temp -day 75-78, night 71-73.
RH- 65-70%
VPD- 0.8-1.1
Any grow tips let me know!
5/28/25- I watered each 300ml dechlorinated tap water. So yesterday I noticed the sour apple auto from humboldt already was throwing pistils... she isn't very big yet so I expect her to be a pretty small plant. I decided to pop one more, and will probably just hand feed this small girt till she's done in a few week hahahaha. oh well its a good learning experience. I Don't think I did anything to stress it, becasue the fast buds is not showing yet or having any problems, both plants look very healthy. Maybe I will try some better auto genetics like nigh owl or speed run
5/30/25- I each like 350-400ml, felt a little dry even from watering them the day before. they are growing! I bet I will turn on the autopot system in the next week once all side leaves have reached at least the side of the pot. probably won't do first feed until week 5 maybe not sure yet. temps and humidity has been the same. and I decided to fill up one more 5 gallon bag and pop another sour apple seed becasue I wasn't sure if it was going to start flower that small.
6/1/25- I decide to turn on the system. I noticed it took a day or two for the plant to start drinking the bottom water. Ive doe some tucking as well to the sour apple, its a very sturdy plant compared tho the fast buds right now. they both have very different structure.

exceptional_chedda 6/4/25- Today I top dressed with my 444 + 284 and earth worm castings. I top watered a bit. I turned off the Autopot system the night before I was going to top feed to the tray would go dry and I don't over water too much. I gave each about 300-400Ml of dechlorinated tap water. The next day after top dress, my basement smelled like absolute shit. that stuff defiantly started working. But I did it this early because I think Im a good 2 weeks about until flowering starts. Not much to do right now just watch them do their thing I have been tucking the sour apple because the levels are a lot bigger and closer together. I think I might experience with that sour apple #2, because I don't have an Autopot for that.
6/6/25- I was told my DLI is too high right now so had to turn light down. maybe they will stretch a bit more now, I feel like pre flower stretch is real soon though or maybe another week. we will seeeeeeeee.
6/8/25- Been turning off and turning on autopot system trying to figure out how to work it right with the soil. I think it's best to have it full, then run that only for a day or two and not constantly have water in aquavalve. at least right now. I also decided to put up a trellis net to try help expose some bud sights and see if I can get a bit more field than I think im going to get.. I think next run is going to be a lot better already.
6/10/25- So I learned the 5 gallon might be a little small for my autopot soil run. Also I skipped putting perlite on bottom. which I need to do if I use soil and autopot. either way Autopot recommended me to turn the system on for 24 hrs, then turn it off for couple days becausee it will overwater without that drainage layer. I ave also just been keep scrogging the gorilla Z to spread her put more. I think I will do this got the 2nd sour apple.

exceptional_chedda 6/10/25- Sour apple think its defiantly in pre flower, and the gorilla Z is pretty much in pre flower as well. It looks like the sour apple is going to be the faster one out of the two, even thought its supposed to be the longer of the two. I did Scrog out gorilla Z to get more yield as it seemed a bit lanky, and I actually really like the technique and looking into it. I think I will run it more and try different stuff with it. Also since I didn't add a bottom layer of perlite or draining layer, I need to flood for one day and have off for 2-3 days. until flower it will need water more often. im going to try and frog out the 2nd sour apple in the back a lot to see how that one goes. I wish I could've done it for the first sour apple but a you can see it got way to thick for me to train it , I should've done it earlier. maybe give some sort of top water molasses next week to keep biology alive and the top nutrients to be useful.
6/14/25- I dropped the sour apple to make it more level with the gorilla Z. I also have been playing with drying and watering with the autopot. I had to turn the lights up I noticed this morning i was riding a bit low for going into week 5. I also see couple burnt tips on the sour apple might just be from higher light at that Cole or maybe little dry backs. going to give a small top dress next week to get them through, as well as top dress the smaller sour apple.
