4buds2g0High 06/05/25: The seed has sprouted, the plant is now above the soil. 07/05/25: She now has visible true leaves, also gave pH-adjusted water after checking soil dryness with my finger. 08/05/25: She's started to stretch a bit, so I lowered the light and adjusted it to around 250 PPFD. 09/05/25: Gave her a bit of water, pH around 6.6. 12/05/25: She seems to be growing fast, gave her water again. 13/05/25: Probably gave her too little water before, soil felt dry. Gave more water today, along with some X-Cel diluted to 1/4 strength. Water had a pH of 6.68 and a PPM of 233. 14/05/25: Nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm currently growing in a 0.25-gallon (+- 1 L) pot. What signs should I look for to know it's the right time to transplant into a 5-gallon pot?

4buds2g0High 15/05/25: She is growing well. 16/05/25: Soil is starting to feel dry, will water again tomorrow. 17/05/25: Gave 40ml of 6.5 pH water mixed with 1/4 strength X-cel. 18/05/25: Had to water again, she's using more water now. Gave a bit more this time with a pH of 6.4. 19/05/25: I transplanted her into a 20L pot but accidentally added too little soil, I thought it was a 15L pot. I’ll top it up with more soil once she’s a bit bigger. Gave water with a pH of 6.2 until there was runoff from the bottom of the pot. also added 165Gr of Monster bud mix living soil. changed the light to 350 PPFD 20/05/25: Transplanting seems to have gone well. She looks healthy. The first 7-fingered leaf is showing up. Also lowered the RH to 65%. 21/05/25: She's growing well. Slightly increased light intensity to 400 PPFD. The stem is getting thicker and she's starting to grow more vertically now. I plan to top her for the first time next week, once the 5th node has developed.

How can I recognize the vegetative stage so I can adjust the RH and PPFD accordingly?

You’ll know your plant's in veg when it grows fast and puts out those big fan leaves with 5+ fingers. The stem gets thicker, branches start forming at the nodes, and there’s no sign of flowers yet. That’s when you wanna begin to adjust your environment. For RH, aim for around 65–70% early in veg, then drop it down to about 50–60% as it gets older. And for PPFD, you’re looking at 300–600 µmol/m²/s—closer to 300 early on, then ramp up to 500–600 as the plant gets bigger. Make sure your light schedule is still 18/6 to keep it in veg.

4buds2g0High 22/05/25: She’s growing fast. I think she’s also starting to develop a slight smell. 23/05/25: Topped her today and gave 500mL of water with a pH of 6.25 with X-cel 24/05/25: She’s been growing well since I topped her, just a bit worried about the white spots on some of the leaves. Turns out they’re probably trichomes. 25/05/25: Wanted to water today, but the pot still feels heavy even though the top layer of soil is dry. I’ll water again tomorrow. 26/05/25: Watered again today, 500ml with a pH of 6.3 and 1:10 X-Cel. Adjusted the distance between the light and canopy to 40 cm with +-550 PPFD. 27/05/25: Nothing to mention 28/05/25: Gave 1L of water with X-Cel and a pH of 6.2.

This might be a silly question(first grow), but is it normal for the nodes near the stem to look round and shiny?

The plants look very healthy you've done a great job so far! 🌱 No worries, that shine is completely normal. It will balance out over time. Most hormones are concentrated in the nodes, which causes those areas to swell. The resulting surface tension gives the plant that glossy appearance. ✨
