Long time no see everybody! Found out one is a girl this week, other one hasn't shown yet but both are doing well. Been feeding 4 gallons each of 50/50 compost tea and water.
Making about 15 gallons of tea a week for these guys as well as the rest of the garden. The recipe goes as follows per 5 gallons: 1 cup earthworm castings (black dirt farm), 1/3 cup bat guano (down to earth 9-3-1), 1/3 cup seabirrd guano (down to earth 0-11-0), 5 TBS, 2 TBS langbeinite (down to earth 0-0-22), unsulfured molasses (grandmas brand), liquid kelp (blue planet nutrients .3-.2-.1), 5 TBS fish emulsion (neptune harvest 2-4-1) just got it today haven't used it yet, and 1 cup grokashi. Internode spacing is getting super tight, it has been super hot (for the northeast) the past two weeks but they're all looking good. Have a few spider lads in the mix which are doing a pretty good job so far (few snails here and there). Both mephisto's are in week 3/4 of flower and are looking pretty good minus a nitrogen deficiency so they've been getting the same veg formula tea. Cleaned out the greenhouse and all the tomatoes are in the ground. Were on autopilot now til flower starts mid-August.
thanks for sharing your compost tea recipe. And love that internodal spacing!
do you add langbeinite to the tea while your plants are still in veg or only during flower? And how much? (the amount seemed confusing: 5tbs/2tbs)? Been wanting to try working with it but it seems complex.
those are good look spiders too
