GothBotanical I tarted on August 10th using a short soak followed by the paper towel method on top of a router for warmth. By August 12th, Nice Cream Auto broke soil and settled into the seedling phase. She’s been small but healthy, pushing out her first true leaves under steady conditions of ~78°F and ~60% RH. Watering has been light with plain RO, just enough to keep the medium evenly moist.
Tiger #2 has been a bit more dramatic. The first seed never sprouted, so I dropped a replacement a few days later. The second seed finally broke soil around August 20th, which puts it almost a full week behind Nice Cream. Right now it’s still very much in the seedling stage and just starting to establish itself. Because of that, I’ll keep the diary in Seedling until Tiger #2 is ready to join Nice Cream in veg, so they can transition together.

GothBotanical The autoflowers officially entered their vegetative stage on August 24 after completing germination. Nice Cream has shown steady progress, with its first true leaves extending outward and healthy new growth forming at the center. The plant is compact and strong in color, with no signs of stress. Tiger #2 had a slower start and took longer to emerge, leaving it behind in size compared to Nice Cream. However, it has now broken through the soil and is developing its first true leaves, looking healthy despite the late start. The companion cover crop has created a thick carpet of green in both pots, helping protect moisture and provide a living mulch. With both seedlings now established, the autos are officially underway and set to gain momentum in the coming week as vegetative growth picks up.
