papaterps Day one: all seeds dropped into RO (reverse osmosis) tap water, pH at 6.5. The environment for this grow, will be a 3x3 (90x90cm) tent, so I'll be using a mixture of 5(18L) and 7(26L) gallon fabric pots. * The Amnesia Haze Auto and Papaya Cookies Auto will occupy the 7g/ 26L pots. * The Kush Mass Auto and the Tropicana Cookies Auto will occupy the 5g/18L pots I will start with top watering these ladies, and in about week two of veg, I will move to a ground fed watering system. Note: The FastBuds seeds (Papaya Cookies Auto and Tropicana Cookies Auto) entered the race at different stages, after the Amnesia Haze Auto and Kush Mass Auto seeds were planted; they will follow the same process and I will update each stage with their progress. * Amnesia Haze Auto - day two: seed moved from water, to dark humid environment, on a dense cleaning sponge, saturated in tap water (RO, pH 6.5) - day three: the seedling had a nice long tap root, so it was moved to the main grow pot. -- Watered with 250ml RO pH 6.5. - on day four, the seed shell was still attached, so I removed that with a small tweezers along with the membrane. * Kush Mass Auto - day two: seed moved from water, to dark humid environment, on a dense cleaning sponge, saturated in tap water (RO, pH 6.5) - day three: seedling had an acceptable tap root, so it was moved to the main grow pot. -- Watered with 250ml RO pH 6.5. - on day four, the seed shell had fallen off but a small portion of the membrane was still keeping the leaves from opening up, so I removed that with a small tweezers. * Papaya Cookies Auto - day two: seedling had a small tap root, so it was moved to the main grow pot. -- Watered with 250ml RO pH 6.5. -- I skipped the previous day two step, because it had been recommended by Chubbs (FastBuds) on a podcast with Mr Grow It (Garden Talk), to put the seed directly into the grow pot from the water. - on day five, the seed shell had fallen off but a small portion of the membrane was removed with a small tweezers. -- I had planted the seed a little too deep into the soil, so it took an extra day to appear... * Tropicana Cookies Auto - day two: the seedling had an acceptable tap root, so it was moved from to main grow pot. -- Watered with 250ml RO pH 6.5. -- same as the Papaya Cookies Auto, I skipped the previous day two step, because it had been recommended by FastBuds growers to put the seed directly into the grow pot from the water. - day four, the seed shell and its membrane were removed with a small tweezers.

papaterps Week 2 veg. - water upped to 500ml + nutrients. -- extremely hot this week, so I watered three times rather than my usual twice per week. * Amnesia Haze Auto - nice growth, looking healthy. - really loving the heat!! * Kush Mass Auto - struggling to get going; the heat might be slowing this one down... * Papaya Cookies Auto - nice growth, looking good -- neem oil residue on the leaf, left a burn mark... 😱 * Tropicana Cookies Auto - ToDo

papaterps Week 3 Veg. - watered 500ml + nutrients. -- back to the usual twice per week. * Amnesia Haze Auto - vigorous growth, she looks like shes going to be a monster! - light defoliation started, removing just the lower leaves and nodes closest to the structure of the tent. - started low stress training on all shoots with nodes; shown in picture. * Kush Mass Auto - still struggling in terms of growth, but big enough to start LST. - defoliation; removed a single leaf closest to the tent - she really is that small. - started low stress training, by pulling the main stem down to where the leaf was removed. * Papaya Cookies Auto - nice growth again, burn marks from the neem oil are growing, but I'm not worried about it. - light defoliation, removed lower most leaves. - I decided not to perform any LST on this plant, yet... * Tropicana Cookies Auto - ToDo: she has not yet reached this stage. A quick note on the Low Stress Training (LST) and defoliation: my plan is to remove axillary leaves, buds and nodes on the sides closest to the structural pole of the tent, from each plant, and then pull the main stem of each plant towards each releated tent pole - this is to maximise the light potential for everything under/below the main shoot. I will also attempt to keep an even-ish canopy.

papaterps Week 3 Veg/Bloom. - Introduced a 100L gravity-fed watering system, the plants are big enough to now pull water from the base of the fabric pot. - I've also started to add bloom nutrients to the water. - and I've attached the carbon filter to the blower - no more external smells 👌 * Amnesia Haze Auto - pistils have started to appear on her stems, this one is in flower! She has also started to smell good 😁 - getting bigger every day, shes putting the others to shame; but I still love them! * Kush Mass Auto - I'm pretty sure the hot weather from the weeks before have stunted her growth, which is a real shame. - No sign of pistils just yet. - I've stopped LST on her, just to give her more time to grow. * Papaya Cookies Auto - ToDo: she has not yet reached this stage. * Tropicana Cookies Auto - ToDo: she has not yet reached this stage.

papaterps Week 3 Veg/Bloom. - Watering with 100L gravity-fed watering system, with a pump to keep the water from stagnating. - Gnat's have made their way into the environment, so I have introduced a number of traps to try and slow their numbers. - Humidity has started to become an issue, so I have invested in a new dehumidifier - it should be here in a week or so 🙏 * Amnesia Haze Auto - She's getting bigger and bigger each day, I have high hopes for this one! - A good amount of defolation required for her this week, the humidity in the tent has left some water on her leaves, so I've removed leaves up to about the second node up from the soil. I've also removed a couple of the larger leaves from the top, as they had started to cover the lower node/bud sites. - Basically completed LST on this one, she is starting to stretch! * Kush Mass Auto - She's looking really healthy, but shes just not growing at the rate I expected her to... but shes getting there! -- I've read other diaries on this site, that say this one might be a photoperiod... and its in my Auto grow... the craic is mighty !! - I've also restarted the LST on her, by pulling the main stem closer to the tent structure. - no sign of any pistils yet. * Papaya Cookies Auto - ToDo: she has not yet reached this stage. * Tropicana Cookies Auto - ToDo: she has not yet reached this stage.
