smokeshi Using maxigrow for this line of plants, really want to maximize practicality over overall effectiveness. Using citric acid as ph down and potassium carbonate as ph up. Big brainin this time. Right now they are in a box with a low wattage light, will bust out the larger light/tent when I see the plant get eager for more. Flowering is expected around Oct. Lets do this!!!

smokeshi This week I am starting to see some improvement over the last couple days. I made a mistake with nutrient strength due to me believing that 350 ppm of hard water would be adequate but that is not the case. I had to bump up my ppm to 650 ish to accomodate for the lack of NPK in the nutrient water thus only having minerals such as mag and calcium carbonate. Hopefully the autos didnt get stunted but my bag seed photo is developing very oddly. Leaves growing at different speeds, appearing as if the plant will not gain as much size but i believe that this is because of the nutrient issue as well as weird phenotype? I have no idea what this strain could be but when i smoked it, it tasted peppery so possibly comprised primarily of caryophyllene terps. Thats all for now, posting next Wednesday.

smokeshi Completely forgot to post week 3 because i’ve really been refraining from worrying about my veg results but had to do a bunch of changes as far as nute control, lighting adjustments and watering frequency due to the small pots i have them in. Im surprised the plants just aren’t as stressed as most people make autos out to be. My lesson learned is to use a bigger pot size for autos as they grow extremely quick once the root system is popping off. This will hopefully be my redemption arc for messing up my gorilla cookies auto from fastbuds. These RQS phenos are interesting as like i had mentioned before, one of the autos already is producing a smell of diesel while the other was not and also was stagnant in growth, but up until the later end of this week, that one slow auto is catching right up to my other plant so its really interesting how different phenos will react under certain conditions. My night time temps go down to 76f when we put our a/c to 74 which will be perfect for late flower however i will just dial down my grow light to help my tent temps stay under 78f so i dont have myrcene terp loss. I’m actually excited to see how this auto flowers! Also, my plan for my next grow will be to clone my photo period as I will need to take a grow break in December. I will not have enough time to flower her as she wouldve needed two spare weeks of preflower and i would have to leave a week before it wouldve needed to be harvested so the plan is to take cuttings and leave em in my fridge and hopefully when i come back in January, start with 3 photos and skip the seedling phase to give me a 2-3 week head start on growing. I have never done this, and I have Milky Way F1 seeds that i can also grow as well as more bag seed so even if it doesn’t work out we have a back up. Let’s see how it all pans out.

smokeshi This week started to show pistils from my autoflowers. They stopped growing as aggressively as the previous weeks so i began to transition to a half flower half veg solution. Once again, i have hard water over here so i have to account for the amount of minerals already present to the water. 710 was what i started with and the plants seem to be doing okay with that value. The photo on the other hand got some nutrient burn from it and also my cat decided to take a couple chomps from the leaves so i will lower my nutes for that plant and just keep growing it to make clones for the end of the month of november so when i come back in January i will get to start those earlier. My values for plant height and light distance are all accurate though. I believe last week i didn’t put truly accurate measurement temps so no biggie. Also this post comes three days after wednesday which is my usual post day but the photos of the plants are again accurate of the time taken. Will continue to update. AF#2 seems to be slightly behind #1 so not sure if that will affect harvest. Will continue updating.
