Switched from T5s in veg ( makes nice little bushes) to my new 600wt Cob light in the flower tent. I hope to save some money on electric compared to the HPS. Coast of Maine Platinum Growers mix. Added General Organics bloom, cal mag and roots to water for kick start to the new soil/light/bloom phase transition. Going forward I plan to just add my water from my well and/or humidifier collected water. I may make worm casting /molasses tea in a couple of weeks to give them another boost. This is my fist diary of any kind. Should be a fun 8 weeks. 4 plants in scrog: Nirvana Candy Kush which I guess is similar to another’s breeder’s Kandy Kush. Train wreck x OG Kush. I have to harvest last week of June so hoping for no issues. Probably just let them grow from here as the canopy is now even. - Day 5 in Flower

Just watered yesterday. Mix needs more drainage next time. So now lighter waterings with dry soil between. Until they start sucking it up faster. Used Dehumidifier water with ph 7 so I brought it down a tad. Shocked at how much they have grown this week. Stretch is on. I’m trying to let the soil do the work. It’s hard not to start dumping nutes in there but I want these plants to just take what it needs when they want it . Not sure about light height with my new cobs. Plants seem good. I'm not exactly sure what to look for so for now I’m not touching it.

Been moving and shaking with changing spring temps and humidity. I did not know what to do to raise the temp without the hps. But tweaking the humidifier’s warm air and intake no big swings. Little dank smell starting already! Time to start the charcoal filter. Pretty impressive for 205 watts at the wall. I’ll double the light to finish. Plants just have outgrown the ideal footprint during flower. Adding liquid kelp/fish emulsion tonight.

This week was good but a little stressful. I grow in an old unattached garage. It buffers the outside temps and humidity but not by much. Mini heat wave hitting us now through the extended forecast means we just skipped June and it’s full on summer. The good news are the plants are looking good. Continued lst’ing them as they finished stretching. Then I opened the air flow and light to bud sights with some defoliation. Put a 2nd fan in tent to improve air movement. I’ve had the lights as close as 8 inches but moved them up to 12 as the plants deal with the heat. Maybe the kelp will help them weather the higher temps. Day time is at night for the ladies. Old habit from using the HPS but still helpful in keeping environment in check. I can’t believe the bud growth and trichomes. Never had this much frost this early! Just alittle stress is good for them. Hopefully they hang in!

worm tea with molasses 1.302 mll
Heat wave continued but they look healthy. Day 34 is showing bud growth and more tricomes. They are sucking my soil dry in just 2 days now. Gave them some homemade worm casting tea with molasses for their drink tonight. Just PH neutral water from here out. Nirvana says 7-9 weeks flower. One pheno might make that 7 weeks. But I will take them all down by week 8 regardless as I have family coming and need them jarred by July. Outdoor temps are finally coming down so hopefully this week I can get by temps back below 80. Humidity 45ish. Keeping good circulation with the two fans. Did some light defoliation to improve some light and airflow. Now just removing leaves that yellow and wilt.

Week 6. Still trucking. They are drinking a lot and getting bigger. Playing with light height. I can go low without damaging plants, 5 inches. But coverage looks much more even at 12 inches. Covering 3x3 with 6 200wt cobs. 120 lenses really spreads the light even though Im interested in how they would perform with no lenses. Running humidifier to keep humidity below 50. Humidifier adds heat so temps have stayed right around 82. Beautiful plant to watch grow! 1 plant still moving quicker than the others. Might try my first reveg when she’s done.

1 plant is just throwing out colors! Seems to be a few weeks ahead of the others as well. Keeping air movement up and humidity down. Temps below 80 this week with a couple of 66degree nights. Just molasses and water.

Just watering and waiting. 5 more days till chop. I love watching the Fall colors. Cooler night temps in the 60s helps. I’ve noticed some amber trichs on some sugar leaves. Most are cloudy now. The super colorful plant probably will come down first so sugar leaves don’t dry up to much. The other 3 will probably be right on time. Love the swelling up of the buds!
