yan420 How does a 4:1 stock suddenly become a perfect 1:1 PK nutrient?
In this video I break it down the simple growmie way — no complicated math, no chemistry degree, just real-world logic using Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) and 59% phosphoric acid.
I’m using a basic KOH stock of 100g per 1 liter of water, because it dissolves perfectly, stays liquid, and makes the whole PK process easy to control.
One liquid is strong, one is weak — and once you understand that, the 4:1 vs 1:1 confusion disappears instantly.
This is the simple reason why:
4 parts KOH stock + 1 part phosphoric acid = 1:1 PK
If you’re into DIY nutrients, KOH extractions, or you just want to understand PK ratios in a way that actually makes sense, this video is for you.
Part 2 will cover how to create any PK ratio you want the easy way — without formulas or overthinking.

yan420 Welcome to Part 2!
In Part 1 we learned the most important thing:
my phosphoric acid is way stronger than my KOH stock,
which is why 4 parts KOH and 1 part acid gives a perfect 1:1 PK.
Now in Part 2, I’m showing you the simple growmie method to create ANY PK ratio you want — without complicated math, no chemistry lessons, and no headaches.
Just real-world logic you can use immediately.
The only rule you need to remember is this:
In my setup, the acid is about 4× stronger.
Once you know that, everything becomes easy:
Want more potassium? Use more KOH stock.
Want more phosphorus? Use more acid.
PK 1:1 → 4:1
PK 2:1 → ~2:1
PK 3:1 → ~1.5:1
PK 1:2 → flip it
It’s simple, clean, and growmie-friendly.
This is the system I use to build my FERMAKOR PK mixes for bloom, transition, and veg support — and it works perfectly in real grows.
Part 3 will show the actual PK recipes I use and how I scale them into bottles for full grow cycles.

@Xonidan, Lol growmie, nah not really, most of it except the Phosphoric acid and Potassium Hydroxide reaction is actually way easier to do than what "you guys" do with bottled nutes and it's 1/10 of the price, don't focus on the hard part lol, there also ready PK minerals you can get instead, I'm just using this method because I can actually extract with potassium Hydroxide something most of you don't need to do unless you want to experiment as well, have a good and if you have any questions I'll gladly answer 🙏♥️✌️
