While chopping and cutting, I also noticed that despite the razor blade, this bud already showed resistance, and the sound I compare to cutting a carrot, but weak. After the oven torture, refined in the grinder, it suddenly smelled fruity, pineapple-like. The smoking experience, despite the oven, was quite good, no coughing impulse, slightly noticeable scratchiness, and a taste I couldn't define, but it was different. The effect of the bud surprised me the most. It kicked in very quickly, euphoria, slight inner restlessness, quickly followed by increased concentration. This lasted about 30-45 minutes. Then it started to press behind my forehead, accompanied by slight distractibility and a body relaxation with nuances of fatigue. So as a first impression, from a bud about 40-50cm away from the lamp, which doesn't really get more than reflective light, very satisfying. Additionally, you can see on the sensors that it got quite warm in the tent at the beginning of the week, and the plant reacted with tacoing. I then tried to get the climate under control, but from this whole situation, I decided to reduce the light to 75% already in the middle of the week. My assumption that I could lead it to maturity by reducing the light and simulating autumn did not work out. Today, at the end of week 8, as can be seen in the pictures, it showed new pistils and calyxes again... I had hoped early on to have caught a Sativa-leaning pheno, and from the leaf structure and aromas, concluded that it would take longer. More like 10-11 weeks instead of the indicated 9-10 weeks. Noteworthy as well: In the middle of the week, shortly after the light came on one morning, it once again showed a fruity nuance with clearly recognizable pineapple, which was already gone the next day. Since the light has been significantly reduced due to the throttling, I don't assume that I'm cooking it away, but rather that it's still putting resources into its growth.

The smell comes back in phases, especially in the morning after opening the tent. The profile reminds me of early veg/bloom phases, but it seems more mature now: first fresh pineapple followed by fruity notes, one day distinctly sweet with a creamy impression, almost "textured" in the mouth, currently rather subtly sour. The leaf tips and parts of the buds continue to change color, but slowly and without abrupt color shifts. Trichome development: The ratio is increasingly shifting from clear to milky. Amber is currently hardly relevant. The goal remains an approximate distribution of: 5% clear, 90% milky, 5% amber. Until then, it's just a matter of keeping an eye on things. The smell is changing, but quite similar to what it showed in the veg or early bloom phases. Initially fresh pineapple followed by fruity notes, the next day explicitly sweet with a creamy texture. It settled in the mouth and stayed there for a moment. Towards the end, it was just a subtle sour note. The leaves and the tips in the buds continue to change color, but slowly. The trichomes are increasingly shifting from clear to milky. Now I'm waiting for the approximate distribution of trichomes: 5% clear / 90% milky / 5% amber.

masomeow Hey This week went pretty much the same as last week. No acute problems are showing up. The substrate is getting emptier with each watering, and the additives have been reduced in their dosage (Top-Max, Heaven). Trichomes in the lower areas are mostly milky, the middle level has mostly milky with a bit of clear, and the upper levels are still transitioning. A few white pistils are still around, many have already dried up. The smell remains uninteresting on its own, but when moved, a strong tropical fruit note comes out, followed by a hint reminiscent of pineapple. The plan is to not touch anything anymore, just to check the trichomes daily to determine the harvest time.

masomeow Hey, just like last week, this week has been very calm. I decided to take some measurements of the buds. As you can see in the pictures, they still have a very open structure. Also, my 4 big shoots have a bud structure that resembles an inverted cone, narrower at the bottom and wider at the top. Bud 5 and the reveg shoot already look more classic. The length values refer to the 2 layers below as well as the top bud. Bud 1 10cm wide 15cm long Bud 2 9.5cm wide 14cm long Bud 3 9.5cm wide 14cm long Bud 4 8cm wide 13cm long Bud 5 6cm wide 12cm long The "small" shoot at the very bottom/reveg shoot 4cm wide 12cm long. That's why I updated the height of my plant. Also, rubbing one of the shoots is interesting. It smells fresh at first, followed by clear lemon, but then quickly shifts to a heavier note. It strongly reminds me of Bohemian fruit caramel lemon. I still perceive the smell very weakly, but a visitor said that you can smell it well. Probably just getting used to the smell. It's still stacking, even in deeper, shadier areas, but not nearly as much as it was 2 weeks ago. I also think it's slowly reaching its end. In one of the macros, you can also see an amber wave of trichomes, but since it has only appeared there so far and I don't see anything significant elsewhere, I assume it's local stress.

masomeow Hey there This week was pretty uneventful from my perspective, just like the last two. I've stopped adding nutrients and I'm only watering with tap water now. I also got myself a somewhat better phone microscope, it's decent but the setup prevents me from looking deeper because the bud gets in the way, so the shots are of the outer calyx, the inside is more mature. I can now see some amber, but there are still a few clear trichomes. I think it will be harvested in the course of time. The smell is still not noticeable to me.
