TheChillGrow Started the seeds on Friday using the paper towel method. Both cracked nicely and showed healthy white taproots.

TheChillGrow today the taproots had stretched quite a bit, so I transplanted them into pre-moistened Canna Coco (damp, not wet). Planted them about 1 cm deep with the taproot down and lightly covered the shells/embryo.
Lights are running 24/7 at 60% power, about 61 cm above the pots. Humidity is 75–80% and temps are steady around 24–26°C. Adjusted the fans so there’s a gentle airflow over the pots without blowing too hard on the seedlings.
Now just waiting for the cotyledons to break the surface. Everything looks healthy so far! 🌱

TheChillGrow We’re now 5 days since planting both seedlings into coco, and they’re settling in beautifully.
Both girls popped on 30 November, and after moving them into their medium, I started with a gentle Canna A & B mix at EC 0.6. They took it very well, so they are now comfortably feeding at EC 1.0, showing no signs of stress or overfeeding.
Light remains at 80% in veg mode, positioned at 610mm above canopy level, and both seedlings are reacting perfectly—compact, upright, and a vibrant green.
Root zone moisture is steady, and growth is progressing exactly where you want it at this stage. For only 5 days in coco, leaf development, colouring, and structure are right on point.
Both ladies look happy and are ready to build momentum over the next week. 🌱🌱🔥
