Very bad storm this week snapped both my big plants in half. I could see right thru the stocks. I taped and supported the main stalks and so far after 3 days they are still growing. I thought they would be protected under the big trees in my yard. It is always windy here in south-western Ontario. I do not usually have to worry about bud rot due to the constant windy conditions. This just sucks though!
Hi, thanks. No, that would be nice though. I bought the seeds from jahseeds.ca. I have her growing indoors til the end of May then it is going outside. Supposed to get real big and good for the wet falls we have around here.
You plants are doinf well and look great, how do you find it with the temperature cooling off?
Watching the weather and mine are getting colder temperatures both day and night. A bit concerned.
@heavybreeder, that's like a kick in the nuts. I'm sure they will pull through. Good luck with the grow
Interesting about the cold, I wasn't sure if just low temp woukd be problematic, thanks.
@BarrieGrower, Hi, Thanks. They were doing well til the other night we had heavy rain and high winds. Both of my big plants were snapped in half in the middle but still connected. I taped and supported them and hoping for the best. I don't worry about the cold until the middle of October when I like to harvest. If we are to get a killing frost I harvest that night. And if it is cold, rain and cloudy for more than a week I will harvest before mold or any other disease gets to the buds. Next year I plan on growing only fast-flowers outside. They finish the middle to the end of September in Ontario.
I have a bruce banner fast-flower that is almost finished outside as well.
