Germination

MyLittleGarden The Amnesia Lemon seeds have taken off. First, I put them in a glass with distilled water for a day. Then I used the paper towel method. They sprouted super quickly, just after three days. Since the root still needed to grow a bit, I left them in the towel for three more days. Finally, I planted the seedling in the Jiffy on 12/06.

MyLittleGarden Small update: Starting Vegetation Week 2 The bed was topped up again with Dope Soil Lite to maximize the substrate volume. The worms seem to be very happy in the new soil. To further support them and activate the soil life, I scattered some worm food evenly over the surface of the bed. After all three seedlings were transplanted into the Root Riot pots, the Blumat drip system was installed and adjusted. This now ensures a constant moisture supply for the Living Soil. The Amnesia Lemon is off to a very good start. It’s growing quickly and has already developed its first true leaf pair. The lamp has been switched to full spectrum for the entire vegetation phase. The temperature is stable in the optimal range. The only weak point is the humidity, as my humidifier is broken. The little ones will have to cope with the current, slightly drier conditions.

MyLittleGarden Update: Week 3 of Vegetation. The Amnesia Lemon looks quite healthy overall. Occasionally, it droops its leaves and gives the impression that it's not doing well, but right now it's looking pretty good again. In my opinion, it's growing rather slowly at the moment. This is probably due to the fact that the climate in the tent is still not optimal and I've also transplanted it once. Since the temperatures were too high and the humidity was too low, I've lowered the light one level (dimmed), as the plant reacted negatively to the dry environment. I'm now waiting for the new humidifier; once it's in use, the climate in the tent will be significantly better again.

MyLittleGarden The Amnesia Lemon has made an extraordinary leap in the past week. It has grown about ten centimeters, and its fan leaves are now as big as my hand. Overall, the plant looks very healthy. There are some minor deficiency symptoms, like small brown spots on the leaves, but that doesn't worry me for now. Since I'm aiming for a quick turnaround and can hardly estimate the stretch, I'm sending it into flowering starting today. So now the first week of flowering begins.

MyLittleGarden Week 1 of flowering is complete, and the Amnesia Lemon has developed beautifully. This week, it has grown a whole 18 cm in height. The plant looks very healthy and shows a rich, vibrant green leaf color. The leaves are now larger than my hand. The smell is also slowly increasing. As can be seen in the pictures, the first white hairs are already forming at the nodes. The climate seems to be very much to its liking. Thanks to the new humidifier, optimal conditions are now present in the tent, with the VPD value consistently around 1.1–1.2. This can definitely continue. 🙂

MyLittleGarden Flowering Week 2: After the Do-Si-Dos didn't develop properly in the first three weeks and the germination stagnated, I had to part ways with it. Additionally, I also said goodbye to the Blue Sunset Sherbet last week, as it clearly turned out to be a male plant. Too bad, but that's just how it goes. Now the Amnesia Lemon can spread out in the tent on its own, without having to consider other plants. Since it has already grown well in height, I decided to tie it down sideways to give it and especially the side branches more space and light. Unfortunately, the strap I used to tie it down cut too deeply into the stem. When I noticed this and tried to correct it, the head bud broke off. Very annoying and unfortunately irretrievable. On the positive side, the side branches are now getting significantly more light, and the plant's energy can be distributed more towards them. Overall, the Amnesia Lemon continues to look very vigorous and is growing steadily. The leaves show a rich, strong green. The ambient temperature is just right, and the VPD value remains in the optimal range.

MyLittleGarden Flowering Week 3 The third week of flowering is now complete. Despite the lateral support, it has gained a bit of height this week. The stretch seems to be coming to an end; perhaps a little more vertical growth can be expected, but the focus is increasingly shifting to flower development. As can be seen in the pictures, clearly visible flower sites are now forming. The bud sites are developing evenly and are slowly starting to gain structure. The Amnesia Lemon overall looks very vibrant and healthy. The leaves are robust, a rich dark green, and stable. There is a slight lightening at the tips of some leaves, which is likely due to relatively high light intensity or the short distance from the lamps. The environmental conditions during the day were around 27–28 °C with a humidity of about 63–67%. During the dark phase, humidity occasionally rises to about 70%. To improve air circulation and avoid moisture buildup in the lower area, I have defoliated a bit. This involved removing some large fan leaves as well as lower, light-deprived flower sites to focus energy on the upper and better-lit shoots. The VPD value is around 1.2-1.4 kPa. The ventilation runs continuously with two circulating fans, which ensures good air movement throughout the tent. Overall, the development is very stable. Let's keep it going like this!

MyLittleGarden Flowering Week 4 – Amnesia Lemon Flowering Week 4 is now complete. The plant has mostly finished its stretch and has grown about 7cm taller. The focus is now clearly on flower formation. As can be seen in the pictures, the bud sites have developed significantly and are slowly starting to gain volume. Overall, the plant looks very vigorous and stable. The leaves are strong, a rich dark green, with some leaf tips a bit lighter, likely due to the proximity to the LED. The lamp distance is currently about 30 cm from the top flower level, with little room for adjustment upwards. The climate in the tent has now stabilized well. Temperatures are around 18–29 °C, with humidity during the day at about 54–74% at the upper buds. In the lower part of the foliage, humidity is slightly higher, but thanks to optimized exhaust and circulation fans, it remains in an acceptable range. The VPD value is currently around 1.3–1.6, which is within the optimal window for this flowering phase. The plant continues to be grown completely without fertilizer in a 140 L Living Soil bed. Watering is done via a Blumat drip system, controlled with a Blumat Digital. After fresh watering and applying worm food, there is clearly life in the substrate, indicating active soil biology. Additionally, coarse hemp mulch has been applied to help retain moisture more evenly in the soil. This week, a few thrips were detected (light speckles on the leaves as well as some flying insects). Affected leaves were promptly removed and destroyed, and the undersides of some leaves were carefully cleaned mechanically. An order for beneficial insects (Neoseiulus cucumeris) has already been placed and is expected to arrive soon to regulate the infestation biologically.

MyLittleGarden Flowering Week 5 To be honest, this week has been a bit mixed. The thrips have become quite visible. There are these silvery spots on many leaves, and here and there, little critters are still running around. Some are even on the sugar leaves. It's no longer a mini infestation; it's pretty well spread out now. I hung up the beneficials right after delivery (5 bags in the tent, should really put some pressure on them). Since then, I've been checking regularly and removing more affected leaves. Every now and then, I still catch a few thrips and squish them. I'm not doing much more for now. The climate is around: 26–27 °C 58–62 % RH VPD around 1.4 Aside from the pest issue, the Amnesia is really developing well. The buds are getting denser, and the smell is becoming more intense. When I open the tent, a really sweet-lemony scent hits me now.

MyLittleGarden Flowering Week 6 The flowering week is over and to be honest, I didn't do much this week. Just watered well once and let it grow. The buds have really exploded in the last few days. Much denser, really nice and fat, and voluminous. You can feel the mass when you touch them. Still lots of white hairs everywhere. Just a dream. The smell is now really intense lemony. Such a clear, fresh lemon scent that hits you right when you open the tent. The leaves are a nice deep green, overall it just looks healthy. I don't see any more thrips at the moment. The old damage is still there, of course, but I don't discover any new traces or critters. Looks like the beneficials did their job. The climate was also relaxed: Temperature between 18.6 and 27.3 °C. Humidity between 55–66%, VPD at night around 0.8 and during the day up to 1.5.

MyLittleGarden Flowering Week 8: The eighth week of flowering is now complete, and the plant is visibly entering the final phase. The buds have become noticeably denser and harder in the last few days, feeling rock-solid now. Overall, very dense flower clusters are developing, almost like little "grenades." The pistils are increasingly changing from white to orange-brown, and the trichomes are showing clear development. The majority are still clear to milky, but some amber heads are already appearing. Therefore, the plant will likely need about one to one and a half more weeks to reach the optimal harvest window. Visually, the typical fade of the final phase is now evident. Some leaves are turning yellowish and partially violet. The buds themselves are also starting to turn slightly purple, likely due to the cooler night temperatures. Overall, the plant looks healthy and displays a nice natural autumn coloration. The climate in the tent has been stable overall: Temperature: approx. 16–27 °C Humidity: about 50–70 % VPD: approx. 0.7 – 1.8 Especially at night, the humidity sometimes rises a bit higher, which is why ventilation is occasionally done to lower the moisture. Despite these fluctuations, no signs of mold or bud rot have been observed so far. The smell is becoming more intense day by day. Upon opening the tent, a sweet lemon scent immediately greets you. Getting closer to the buds, a spicy, slightly sharp haze note develops, which is very typical for this genetics.

MyLittleGarden The plant is clearly in the final ripening phase now. When looking through the magnifying glass, the trichomes are mostly milky, some are still clear, and a few amber heads are already showing. So, it can be harvested soon. I will continue to observe the trichomes in the next few days to hit the right timing. The goal is to catch the majority of milky trichomes, with only a few amber ones, to maintain a clearer and more active effect. It will probably need a few more days until the optimal ripeness is reached. Overall, everything looks very good, and the buds seem fully matured.

Happy Harvest Day!

The Amnesia Lemon has proven to be a very pleasant and uncomplicated strain during the grow. It grew steadily, developed dense, compact buds, and produced a good amount of resin. In terms of smell, it was very intense from the start, with a clear lemon profile that came across fresh, sweet, and slightly spicy. The effect is clearly heady and euphoric, just as desired. You stay clear-headed, feel focused and relaxed, without becoming completely tired. The high lasts a long time and builds up noticeably in the head area. Flavor-wise, the citrus notes come through well, even though they are currently a bit milder than the smell. With further curing, the aroma is expected to develop even rounder and more intense.

MyLittleGarden Harvest The plant was harvested shortly after the ninth week of flowering, about three days later when most of the trichomes were milky and a few were already amber. The goal was a rather euphoric, clear high – and that was achieved. The drying process lasted about ten days at temperatures between 15 and 21 °C and a humidity of around 55 to 62%. The conditions were stable, and the buds could dry slowly and gently. After drying, the flowers were manicured and then placed in jars with humidity packs to start the curing process. At this point, the buds were very sticky, resinous, and sparkled strongly, with an intense sweet-lemon scent. Update after 4 weeks: Drying & Curing After the harvest, the Amnesia Lemon was slowly dried for about 10 days. The temperatures were mostly between 15–21 °C with a humidity of approximately 55–62%. Due to the rather cool conditions, the flowers could dry slowly and controlled, without hardening too quickly. During the drying process, a very intense smell developed. Particularly noticeable were strong lemon and sweet terpene notes, combined with a slightly spicy freshness. Initially, there was a slight hay smell, which significantly diminished during the curing process. After drying, the buds were manicured and then stored in brown jars with 58% and 62% humidity packs. During the first weeks of curing, the aroma changed significantly again. The smell became deeper, rounder, and noticeably more pleasant. When opening the jars, an extremely intense sweet-lemon scent now wafts out, immediately filling the room. The flowers now have a very good consistency: dry on the outside, still slightly elastic on the inside, and overall very compact and resinous. The smoking experience has also noticeably become more pleasant and smoother over the weeks. A later measurement with a Purpl Pro finally confirmed a very successful end result: 21% THC 10.3% residual moisture 0.4 AW water activity Particularly positively highlighted were the optimal drying and the intense smell of the sample. Overall, a very successful end result with strong aroma, pleasant smoking behavior, and a clear, head-heavy relaxed effect. 😋

When I last weighed it, it was 160g. I think it has become a bit lighter after a month of curing—probably somewhere between 135 and 150g.
