Candy Cane Auto

Rough start, but she is coming along now. Trying to get the VPD dialed in right now but humidity is very low where I'm at. Need to invest in a mist humidifier.

Transplanted into 7gal fabric pot. 50% Perlite mixed with 25% FF Happy Frog and 25% Organic Compost/Worm Castings mix. Still working on getting RH up to balance VPD out a bit more, planning to lower the light to 20 inches in the next couple of days unless it affects temps badly, mist humidifier on the way. Watering about 4L every 3 days. She is going strong either way. Hopefully I can dial it in and maximize her potential.

Bent her over and started some LST. Tied down in one direction and then tied the other main branches back and to the side for hopefully 5-6 main colas and now going to keep defoliating until about W2 of Flowering to hopefully get the energy focused on those colas. Bumped up the nutrient intake again for W3. Lowered light for maximum intensity. She is now showing signs of preflowers, so I have only a couple weeks to stress her out with LST and defoliation before she goes into full flower. Currently handling the LST without any issues and continuing to go strong!

Finally got my mist humidifier and it has been great. The levoit 450CH has bumped my humidity up to 55% and got me into the ideal VPD for veg (1.0kpa). The plant has noticeably taken off since getting the humidity up another 20%. Only a week more of veg though for this auto as she will most likely start flowering soon so the humidifier will have to wait until next grow to really show it's use. Once I change to flower it'll be another fun game of temperature battles with the HPS being much hotter than the MH bulb. Oh well, that's the joy of growing! Always learning and perfecting the cycle!
