Cannabis_Crossing [2025-12-20] 11 of 12 seeds germinated, however one seedling didn't survive it's helmet removal operation, so 10 of 12 survived. These are F1 seeds. The father was short and bushy, the mother was tall and loved to endlessly branch. For this cross I'll be selecting: 1st for health. Without good health a line is just going to be locked in with bad health. 2nd for leaf shape, particularily leaves that are spikey and very serrated if possible. 3rd for smell, but this isn't as important because that will be more important during an F2 phenohunt in the future.

Cannabis_Crossing [2025-12-27] 1 Week old and very vigorous. 3 plants were culled due to thin and fragile leaves inherited from father, something I would prefer to remove from line.

Cannabis_Crossing [2026-01-03] 2 Weeks old. Two more were culled for being less healthy than the rest. I've tentatively placed colored tags beside each plant to guess their gender, mostly based on height. One plant in particular has my attention, as it matches the leaf morphology that I'm looking to have once the line is stable. The fingers are narrower and longer than usual. It's shorter and smaller, but developing just as quickly as the others.

Cannabis_Crossing 2026-01-10 3 weeks old I transplanted them a few days ago together into a 5 gallon grow bag. While this may seem somewhat insane, I'm not growing for flower or yields, I'm strickly growing for seeds. A single cola can produce more seeds than I actually need, and it's likely that more than one female will get polinated, so this method saves a lot of space and is also a good way to easily compare them in height, shape etc. The smallest of the bunch in the middle is the plant that I'm very fond of. While the rest are uniform in shape, this one in the middle is a rebel child with a very wicked appearance that I was actually hoping to see but didn't expect until F2. The height difference between the two on the side and the 3 in the middle is borderline comical. I'm pretty sure the two on the side are the males, since males tend to be tall and more aggressive, as well as looking overall healthier, but neither of them have shown signs of being male on the 4th node, as males usually show there in at least one crotch by day 21. The father showed at day 20 and was obviously male by day 24 or 25, so I'm starting to wonder if I guessed their gender wrong. Hopefully I have at least one male lol.

Cannabis_Crossing [2026-1-17] 28 Days Later So... it turns out I was completely wrong about gender with these, as the two tall ones on the sides are females, while the short spiky dwarf in the center is male. Looks like someone's going to get Snu Snu! 2 more were culled because they were also male, as Mugsy (should be Muggsy, as in Bogues) will do the honors. I gave names to the females based on their smell when doing a stem/leaf rub. One smelled distinctly of garlic so she's "Vampire Slayer" and the other smelled like beef broth, so naturally her name is "Beef Broth." All three are transitioning into flower quickly, hopefully Mugsy can keep his pants on until they're ready. Might need a small fan under him so his pollen can reach 😆
