The first seed to sprout was leaning over to the side. I attempted to prop it up with garden wire.

Hey Buddy, first of all, congrats on the sprout, that’s already a win. Seedlings leaning over in the first days happens all the time, especially if: • The stem stretched a bit looking for light • The medium is still soft • Roots haven’t anchored yet So nothing unusual there at all. ⸻ About propping it up with garden wire Good instinct wanting to help 👍 The only thing to be careful with is not constricting the stem. If you’re using wire: • Make sure it’s loose • Don’t press against the stem • Think “guide,” not “support pole” A softer option (if you adjust it later): • A small stick / toothpick • Or gently mounding a bit more soil around the base That actually helps the stem strengthen naturally. ⸻ What will happen next (reassurance) As long as: • Light is placed correctly • Airflow is gentle • You don’t overwater The stem will: • Straighten itself • Thicken up • Root down properly in a few days Seedlings look fragile, but they’re tougher than they look. ⸻ Quick tips going forward • Don’t keep adjusting it constantly • Let it move a little (that builds strength) • Avoid heavy watering right at the stem You’re doing fine, this is a very normal first-grow moment, and you handled it with care. Welcome to the growing journey 🌱 It only gets more fun from here. Growers Love and keep us posted 👊

That’s pretty common and nothing to panic about 🙂 Seedlings often lean early on because: -the stem is still soft -light direction isn’t perfectly centered -roots haven’t anchored yet -Using a bit of wire to support it is fine temporarily, just make sure it’s not tight or cutting into the stem. A few tips: -Bring the light directly above the plant so it doesn’t stretch toward it -Add a little soil around the base of the stem if possible — this helps it stand up and strengthens it -Once the stem thickens, remove the support They usually straighten themselves out within a few days 🌱

I got the light a little closer. A hour or so later, that seedling is standing on its own. I appreciate the guidance, fam.

Love that update 🌱💚 That’s exactly what you want to see, light dialed in, and the seedling did the rest on its own. Perfect example of letting the plant respond instead of overcorrecting. You read it right, made a small adjustment, and trusted the process. That’s how confidence gets built, grow by grow. Appreciate you coming back to share the result too, that helps others more than you might realize. You’re off to a great start. Growers Love and Keep going
