Second attempt at growing cannabis, this time in a 1-liter pot 🤦♂️
At that point, I still did not have much experience. I was mainly inspired by YouTube videos about solo cup grows 🤣
SilentKVN This was my second attempt at growing weed, this time in a 1 liter pot. As a beginner, this was actually not that easy and I probably would not try it again anytime soon.
At first, everything went well. The plant developed nicely and there were no major problems. However, as it kept getting bigger and bigger, watering and feeding became quite challenging and honestly a bit frustrating at times 🤣 From the flowering stage on, it constantly struggled with water shortages and nutrient issues.
Because of that, it barely had any leaves left toward the end. First, some leaves died off due to nutrient deficiencies, and later others got burned because I overcorrected and gave too much fertilizer. I also had the feeling that the plant just did not want to stop growing. I was actually pretty amazed at how big a plant can get in just one liter of soil. Of course, the yield was not very high, but for that small amount of soil, the plant itself was impressively large.
Unfortunately, at that time I decided to harvest early because I thought the plant had hermed and I did not want the few grams of weed to end up full of seeds. Later on, I realized that it was not necessary at all. What I thought were pollen sacs were actually just calyxes that formed during pre flower 🤦♂️
But that is how it went. My stash from the first attempt was already almost gone, so in hindsight it was not that bad. The buds from this run were noticeably stronger compared to the first one 🙂
The second small plant visible in one of the pictures was a CBD Fix, but unfortunately I do not have any more photos of it. Even though I harvested way too early again, after eight weeks I still ended up with around 15 grams of bud material and a few leaves.
After that grow, I changed the location because at that time I had not yet found a suitable activated carbon filter that could properly control the smell. Most of them stopped working well after six to seven weeks and let a light cannabis odor through. At the new spot, this was not really an issue, and by now I have found much better carbon filters anyway 😁
