HeinziGrow Good morning dear friends, I'm starting my 4th diary here. For the first time with cuttings, the ladies arrived last Thursday and are now a week in the pot. The pot is already completely rooted, so I can transplant them this weekend. They get about 250-300ml of water every 2-3 days with 1ml/l of S&R organics 5in1 organic fertilizer. This time I won't be using mineral nutrients; once they're in the final pot, I'll be working with Greenhouse Feeding organic powder. Wishing everyone a nice rest of the week and see you soon.

HeinziGrow Good morning friends, it's the end of week 2 after the cuttings arrived. The ladies are growing extremely fast. 5 days ago I topped them and 2 days ago I planted them in 11L pots. I'm using the Professional Grow Mix from Floragard, and after repotting, I watered them with about 3L of water so that about 10% drainage occurs. I used clear water with 0.5ml/l cal-mag from Biobizz. In about 2 weeks, I'll start with the SCROG training. Have a great week and see you soon friends.

HeinziGrow Good morning dear friends, it's the end of week 3. The ladies are in 11l pots, today I watered 3l per plant with 4ml/l S&R Organic 5in1 fertilizer. Two days ago, I set up a net in the tent to nicely distribute the shoots and bring everything to one height. What can I say, I am extremely excited about the genetics, I've never had a strain that is so stable and grows so quickly. Theoretically, I could start the flowering stage now, but I will wait about 2-3 more weeks until almost the entire tent area is covered. Additionally, I will take 2 cuttings and select a mother plant to preserve the genetics. I wish you all a nice day and see you soon.

HeinziGrow Good morning friends, it's the end of week 4 and the plants are doing very well. They need about 3 liters of water every 2-3 days with 5ml/l S&R 5in1. Today I will switch the light cycle to 12/12 and send the ladies into flowering since I have enough plant mass. I'll keep you updated as always, see you soon and Happy Growing.

HeinziGrow Good morning friends, it's the end of week 5. Seven days ago, I initiated the flowering with the ladies, I defoliated them a bit and watered them twice in 7 days. I always water about 2 liters per plant so that no drainage occurs since I use organic nutrients. The ladies are growing very quickly and show no deficiencies at all. Just to be safe, I took 5 cuttings before switching to 12/12. I'll keep you updated as always, see you soon.

HeinziGrow Good morning friends, it's the end of the 2nd week of flowering. The ladies are doing really, really well; 4 days ago, each lady received about 45g of Greenhouse Feeding Bio Bloom powder, so I just need to water with clear water now. I adjust the pH value to about 6.3 and add 0.18g of Epsom salt per liter of water to correct the Cal Mag ratio in my tap water. This morning, I did some lollipopping on the ladies and defoliated a bit so that all the shoots get enough light. I water every 2-3 days with about 2 liters of water so that there's no drain since I fertilize biologically. I'll keep you updated as always, see you soon and Happy Growing.

HeinziGrow Good morning friends, well what can I say, I unfortunately have to painfully end the grow and destroy the plants. All the plants are now showing male bananas among most of the buds, if I continue now I would get buds that are full of seeds... Apparently, all three cuttings are hermaphrodites. I've already checked if it's my fault that some residual light is coming into the tent during the dark phase, but I can rule that out. The environmental conditions are also always stable thanks to the Mars I Controller, so that's not the issue... I will start a new grow this week. This has never happened to me before and it's very, very frustrating.

@DrGruen, greetings my good friend, I've done this several times already. The last mother plant I took from cuttings and cultivated the same strain for 2 years 😊

@HeinziGrow, ok......that's new to me👍I always thought you can't make a mother from a clone...... learned something new 👍

@DrGruen, A purchased cutting has already been multiplied at least 5 times. Of course, that's possible; the genetic damage is extremely low... oh, has someone already written that? xD

What a mess....! For me, it was the red light of a triple socket. It took me a while to figure that out..😤
HeinziGrow
HeinziGrow commented5mo ago
@TheGreenFraggle, greetings to you, now that you mention it, I also have a triple socket with light hanging here......I discovered that after they tweeted. Now that you bring it up, it could be voltage that is causing it.....shit, I saw it too late, I replaced it with another one 3 days ago....how many harvests has it ruined for you?
TheGreenFraggle
TheGreenFraggle commented5mo ago
@HeinziGrow, definitely two! You almost want to cry! It's also a matter of cost.... and you only have a limited interest in the crackling when smoking and the taste. For me, the switch from the dimmer for the ventilation was added. Bright red at 1.60m height so the ladies could see it well.😂 Some strains are really sensitive to that. Problems solved - now it's better. All the best for your next run!!🙏

Maybe they hermied because of the heat. About 1/10 of the plants re-vegged briefly at 35°C, which can lead to either foxtailing or hermaphroditism. Bitter luck, they looked very healthy, good luck that it never happens again! 💚🌱
GoodWeedBerlin
GoodWeedBerlin commentedweek 75mo ago
I would bet that the 5 cuttings you took right before switching to 12/12 are responsible for the hermaphroditism. This isn't the classic stress hermaphroditism, but rather hormone-related. The gender-specific hormonal processes of the plant occur at the tips of the shoots. If the tips are cut just before flowering, the hormonal basis for a clear sexual orientation of the plant is missing at the start of flowering. This also happened to me in my last run, but I picked off the bananas for the most part, and soon no new ones appeared, and so far only 2 seeds have shown up in the harvest. Not every hermaphrodite development has to be a death sentence for a run.

HeinziGrow commented5mo ago
@GoodWeedBerlin, Hey, greetings to you, thank you very much for your response. The strange thing is that I only took cuttings from one plant. The other 2 I just defoliated and lollipopped; I think I might have cut way too much at once. I read a bit about the strain, apparently, they are very stress-sensitive and have a tendency to hermaphroditism with the slightest stress...
the end.
